I was at the game (10 game ticket pass) and our rep moved us from 209 row 11 to 103 row 11 right before puck drop. I was very critical of TK in the 1st as well as JVR (horrible game minus the goal), but glad TK snapped out of it; what a snipe. He was all over the ice in the 2nd and 3rd. Strong game from Laughton and Lindblom. The Mathew-Frost-Willman line showed solid speed and pressure on forecheck most of the night. Hart was awesome. I know the season is lost, but one of the more entertaining games I attended this year. That’s all you can ask for I guess. A win alway feel nice, especially when you have a whiny Jets fan behind you all game 😂

It was a fun game to watch for the most part. Only saw the second and most of the third period, but it was nice to see most of the players engaged. Risto was knocking dudes over like bowling pins all night, and Laughton and TK were physical too. Looks like Ratcliffe can at least skate at the NHL level.

Is this around the time the Flyers go on a winning streak to get back into the playoff wildcard just to collapse at the end of the year?

At least there could be a moral victory...YAY!

Hart first star. Flyers looked like a NHL team the last two games. Good to see.

Can someone explain why they can't play like that every night. Or at least 80% of the time and not 10%. It makes me even more pissed off when you see they are capable of playing well. Leadership? Coaching? I have no idea but its been going on for years here.

Ratcliffe hasn't looked out of place. Maybe he's one of them guys who is better in NHL than AHL, like Eric Wellwood.

Ya, I think NAK was like that too. Need a bigger sample size from Ratcliffe

Flyers always play for the Momentum Cup during a lost season which coincidentally never carries over.

Unfortunately this team will never bottom out. Giroux prevented that from happening the last 10 years and Hart will be the one preventing it from happening for the next 10.

Likely to see a winning streak it what the Flyers do when they get far enough away from a playoff spot. This time it wont even get them close to a playoff spot as season is over but will affect draft slot

They would have to go on a winning streak of epic proportions and some team in the wild card would have to have a losing streak similar.

It will just ruin their draft position. These two wins have moved the Flyers to 7th overall out of the top 5. Don’t know how much it matters this draft but stupid all the same.

They would have to go on an insane winning streak coupled with the wildcard teams AND all of the teams between them and the WC losing a ton/not having 3 point games when they play one another. Zero chance, especially with all the players out.

Whenever you are trying to make up ground, the 3 point games are absolute killer. And teams will adjust play just to get to OT and get that point when they're trying to hang on to the WC spot.

What i read is the top 5 of this draft is one tier,(top of lineup players) then the next tier, picks 6-12 (top/middle lineup players) picks 13+ middle of lineup players

Glad you got to see a win. If I was able, I would still go despite the lost season. Also, I am glad they are doing some small things for fans like that to make up for the bad product...

No doubt. Although I call it the moral victory cup. They will go on a period of solid hockey. Especially if they get some injured players back. Don't be fooled. There was some very good things that happened in the game last night but also some of the same troubling signs that have always been there.

I wouldn't call it stupid. Coaches and players are going to play to win. As they should.

I understand that. I get it. All I ask for is they compete each and every night. Whatever happens, happens. These past 2 wins haven't made me feel any different about the team.

This is true but that’s why management should step in and start moving out players immediately. Players and coaches play to win but the GM needs to plan for the future and a higher draft pick potentially helps the future more than winning meaningless games at this point.

Unless they bottom out and win the lottery next year, I don't think there's a generational talent coming their way.

So you might as well play to win and see where the chips fall. Draft the best player avail and hope it works out as there are zero guarantees.

The problem with that is that is that there's zero guarantee unless it's a bedard type clear cut generational talent. We had the second pick recently and it didn't work out at all. They'll be in the lottery, and I expect that they'll pick top 10. That SHOULD bring you a player with a good shot at making the NHL.
