Rare homage to Claude Captain of the best Division in hockey - THE EVIL WITHIN
Absolutely. It’s (frank)in crazy that Giroux hasn’t seen the same Tavares, Stamkos, Toews, Ov and Crosby love in his career. Guy sees a little respect now and we poop on it.
Gotta love this fanbase. Upset when the Flyers lose and upset when the Flyers win. They just cant win with the fans.
You either want them to lose for a better pick or be a team that plays well and is entertaining to watch. Pick a side, you cant have both - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I choose top 5 pick at this point! I'm all for everyone having surgery and trying again next year!

He's not ridiculing them for their age. His issue is that he doesn't want "old school" hockey guys. He would prefer modern day up and coming younger guys that are more on the cutting edge of the sport. So would I. - MJL
Wirtz is a *******. The question sounds reasonable and fair. It wasn’t to ask about the past but rather what is to be done now and in the future. If he can’t be transparent about that then it isn’t good enough. Details aren’t so important as the basic idea that layers are now in place to prevent gross misuse of position. A quick example of how that would work…that’s all that was needed.

That was horrible. A real black eye to the organization again. Holy god. Just smacks of the old boys club and the team and league are going to get ripped for this.

Horrible is right. The video is worse than the transcript. No excuse in the world for that response.
So you don’t mind a 10 year plan? Only asking because I’ve been told no fan base would ever accept that - Stayin alive
He thinks hextall was doing the right thing, so obviously hes fine with the 15 year plan of drafting in the middle each year, and hoping to get a big hit

I personally don’t care which path they take to success as long as we get there. Fletch’s moves made sense to me at the time but obviously didn’t work. I am worried that the younger core has not been able to take a step forward in order to fill the gap and that may be a bigger problem.
If they tear it down to the studs because of this and start a 5 plus year rebuild. I guess ok but say it doesn’t work and we miss on the picks? You hope for Tampa pitt scenario but it could easily be an Edmonton scenario which is an utter disaster . We talk about probabilities with lots of first overall picks and that’s nice but hockey is a late development sport so it’s a crap shoot. . Also you need to surround the stars with a proper supporting cast. Ask Edmonton if that’s easy. They’ve missed on so many other picks from 2nd round on it’s ridiculous.
Imo. The point is moot short term. I fully expect trades at the deadline to bring in some prospects and picks then we will go hard after Johnny g. They stated that they need more high end skill. There you go. Will it work? I have no idea but if the injured players we have can come back the team should be better. That’s what the plan is I’m expecting.

So any suggestions as to what mid level free agent the flyers will overpay for and pay like a a star?

If a course of action fails, which one are you better off with even with that failure? A patient draft and develop strategy. Or an aggressive spend to the cap, trade youth for vets and take on high priced older players via free agency or trade?

Flyers have spent to the cap since the cap was implemented. Why do you continually bring it up and act like this is something new?
The youth for vets narrative again. You are consistent Cliff.
