Glenn could shoot though.
- Scabeh

Glenn's shot was weaker than Bob Gainey's. He was good at running the goalie though, better than Kreider or Gallagher.

Fun to watch when he's on but the dude definitely isn't his dad.
- BINGO!

It's kind of cool how many of these guys show up over the years. Mason Raymond, Andreas Athanasiou, KK, Michael Grabner, Alex Formenton, Tyler Motte etc. Always leaving you wanting more.

Incredible that they actually plan on trying to fit into ASU's arena. That's a real nice WHL rink, I guess?
- BINGO!

"We could move the team to somewhere that actually wants them and has an actual NHL sized rink, OR we could try to build ANOTHER building in this city where we've failed twice and in the meantime spend the next 4 years playing in an arena smaller than the one built for the Regina Pats in 1976!"

Is there a hockey deal with Manson and Rakell? Think Rakell is a guy who might sign a 1 year deal next season for fit.

Ducks are a small market team and with Rakell more than likely moving on and not being able to sign both Manson and Lindholm I wonder.

Leafs can plug a D hole for them with Dermott or Holl.

Dermott, Mikheyev, couple prospects like the ones in the Muzzin deal?

Gainey could shoot though.

Well not really but he could prevent others from shooting.

(frank)in guy. He's not terrible, and in the right position most of the time, but his hands are so (frank)ing slow. He takes too long to make a decision all the time.

Sure he could! 20 goals 4 times in 16 seasons on high scoring teams in the highest scoring era in NHL history.

They didn't need him to score.

Just pass it to Lafleur.

Who, btw, is having a rough time with his 2nd cancer these days... hurts to see.

He had all the opportunities this year to be more than a middle 6 player.

Guess that's just what he is.

- Scabeh

I think he's proven that he's a 20goal, 45point guy who has game breaking speed with mediocre finish. Curiously, Pittsburgh must have a much more passive PK - he doesn't penalty kill for them at all, despite being a decent offensive threat due to his speed.

Lafleur was a beauty. Met him a few years ago when he participated in the world's first - and I believe only helicopter voyage around the planet.

Well if that is the case they are selling them, I was more thinking they might try and sell them in a hockey deal while getting some players they can put in their lineup that aren't rookies, as well as getting some prospects.

Dont think Patty is starting his rookie GM tenure with losing Manson, Lindholm and Rakell for nothing. But also in the position they are in...why would they completely sell off without getting some NHL talent in return?

Also what does Kerfoot to in a deal like that? I just think its a deal that has plenty of avenues to go through and is something Dubas would do

The guy I think of in that category was Saganiuk. All that speed and no idea what to do with it. A friend of mine used to describe his game, "You'd watch Rocky blast past everyone down the wing, and then he'd hit the top of the circle . . . and then just start going around the circle like it was a skating drill. Shoot the puck, Rocky! Pass the puck, Rocky! Naw, man. I'm busy doing my circles!".

ASU gets first pick on dates, revenue from ads on the boards and probably concessions. On the flip side, Marchand is probably right and they’re likely not getting much more that 5,000 paying people to games now.

Gary's being pretty stubborn about admitting he was wrong and (frank)ed up on this one.

He was great to see live. He’d just start skating in a semi-circle waiting for someone to win the puck in their end, which they always did, and then hit him with a pass at full speed.

Love the dog, terrible clothing.

I gave him your opinion, he looked me dead in the eye and went and took a big dump as if to say "Tell him that's his team this year".

At some point it won’t be up to him if Tempe doesn’t approve the new arena. They have to be a bit spooked.

League execs get to see a list of how the tickets for each teams are distributed. The Athletic story on it all but confirmed that there are thousands of tickets just being given away every night, not unlike what was happening with Carolina from like 2010-2014.

That's why attendance numbers fell off a cliff there in 14-15. Waddell took over as team president and they stopped giving away 3000-4000 tickets every night to inflate numbers.

Different era though. Chain smoking in the dressing room between periods has caught up with him. Great player and picked up at the end of the days when Sam Pollock could absolutely steal top players for garbage in trades.

Would be cool for a change if rather than move the team, just have a dispersal draft.
