Protesting anything is dumb in my eyes but people have a right to do it and protests are supposed to be uncomfortable. Whether or not I agree with what somebody is protesting shouldn't impact how we treat their protest

I'm not agreeing with anything. The thought of somebody taking a poop on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier makes me feel physically ill. But there's an old quote that is falsely attributed to Voltaire “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Deal with criminals as criminals. The rest is a stupid protest like all the others

agree to disagree here, the incessant honking of trucks and the way many of the protesters are acting in general with residants is far from "peaceful".

i read he got all pissed that they only involved him up to a certain point. he thought he was going to get to sit in on the interviews and all.

The agency of the people who do the more extreme things is to drive behaviours which are regularly deemed as unacceptable seem a lot less terrible by comparison. This allows the line to be moved (often slowly) further and further from a somewhat reasonable (regardless, if you agree with their protest or not) towards a more extreme position.

Showing up with nazi flags, or poopting on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are not isolated incidents, but purposeful acts that have been incited by a few to move that line.
