Had a discussion the other day with my analytic buddy, he tells me that several of the stats that the analytic community have been using, have lost credibility and new and improved analytics have been coming out over the last couple years.
So, I ask him why are they no longer relying on those previous analytics?
He tells me that they are flawed and not reliable.
So, I then say, I thought you guys in the analytic community have been arguing that these stats are facts.

He didn't respond.

Flames in on Miller? Sutter type player.

Miller probably heard, that’s why he gave up on the back check in OT vs McJohnny.

- K-man25

That's what Frank Seravalli reported.

Would need a pretty good overpayment to trade Miller to a division rival.

Adam Ruzicka was a 4th round pick I wanted in 2017 that I see now has 4 points in 11 games.

If Calgary wants to throw in Ruzicka, their 1st this year, Pelletier, and a 2nd this year and a 3rd in 2023.

Might convince JR to trade him to a division rival.

So 2-1sts, a top prospect, a 2nd and a 3rd, that seems fair. I’m sure even Alvin wouldn’t have problems with that.

Canucks are taking all the risk there. Those picks could be 32, 64 and 77-96. Long shots.

Thanks Carol.
I for 1 will be tuning in Friday for the free Ahl TV game. After all it’s not very often you get to watch the baby Canucks take on the top team in their division, a team that feature 2 Ahl rookie candidates, Dustin Wolf (7th round pick) and Jacob Pelletier a 1st round pick
McJohnny 104th
Mangiapani 166th
Kylington 60th
Anderson 53rd
Fox 66th
Dube 56th
Ruzicka 109th
Wolf 217th
Kerins 174th

Are you speaking about your own opinion? Kind of a two way starter to answering a question I had asked someone else.

I was offering her a chance to say what she thinks (not as if she needed one). If she did have some thoughts as others have. Is that a problem for you?

- manvanfan

Yes I was giving my opinion. I don't think there's much to be made of the quote.

I know that Fox kid sucks,
6 time Allstar McJohnny sucks
20 goal scorer Mangipani sucks
I just like to mention Anderson cause that’s. the Canuck pick we got for Bear Cheeze
Ohl leading scorer Rory Kerins, sucks as well

Now I’m depressed, going for happy hour, it’s 4 here. Thanks

Too often, in online debates, each group believes they are the "smart people" group and the other groups are the "dumb people" groups. Humans are funny.

I don't know that I've ever seen as obvious of an example of this as in here. The amount of dismissive vocabulary is riduculous

Oh I forgot to mention little buzz saw, Mathew Phillips, former Victoria Royal star, that schooled Martin with a hat trick in the 3rd period. Should be a good measuring stick for Abby.

I watched Philips in a Royals game a few years back, he stood out despite his size, impressive work ethic.

Sorry, I thought you were sort of answering for Carol at first when I read it because I had directed the question to her.

He didn't not speak the truth. Team isn't in a playoff spot, players aren't playing up to previous potential.

Pretty much why he is here because the team wasn't good.

As a Rockets fan, I always enjoyed watching him. Too bad he’ll probably have to go somewhere else as I don’t think Sutter will ever give him a chance.

The wait and see attitude makes sense to me though, the team was clearly better than they played under Benning and Green, new management has to take some time to figure out how good they actually are before they can decide on what changes to make. Sample size is still pretty small.

He's from Calgary too, that would suck for him. Does he have any NHL potential? I always saw him as a high level AHL guy who probably wouldn't make it.

If Miller wanted to be out in the first or second round or miss the PO's every year he could have stayed with the Rangers!!

Totes. So basically it's no different from collection of stats for data analysis. Prone to subjective bias.
