some hope in the prospects is starting to show. I really think Frost has been progressing, I don't mind Mayhew on his line just wish they would put a Cam or TK type on the other wing. I think a finisher would really be helpful and give us a good look at what Frost can really do. Lets hope Ratcliffe and a few others take a big step forward the 2nd half of the season.

Looking at the 2021-2022 all stars this year, 28 of them were 1st round picks, 8 were 2nd round picks, 4 were 3rd round picks, 3 were 4th round picks, 4 drafted between rounds 5-7 and 2 were undrafted. It just emphasizes that you have to hit on your 1st and 2nd round picks if you want to get the top end talent Fletcher talks about.

Even the odds on 2nd round picks aren't great.

Wasn't this known before the all star game? You seem to be putting a lot of stock in that game.

Yes, of course it was known. I didn't post anything ground breaking here.

I hope the Flyers can move Jones soon and get a long look at Sandstrom this season. It would be nice to have a low cost, homegrown backup for next season.

The skills competition is an interesting platform to showcase players. Watching these young stars on the rise, as a Flyers fan, really makes me jealous. Talents and skill, coupled with a few really big personalities. Have we had a big personality who was a legit star since JR? Going way back to the old WWF it’s like everyone else gets Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, the Rock, Stone Cold and Rick Flair and we end up with Bob Backlund.

If CC is captaining a team you can be sure they will be the worst performing

Tremendous insight. What would we do without your constant analysis of CC

I hope that being the capt of the metro and a good weekend pushes G to waiving so we can get a decent return for him. Good bonding with players on contenders coupled with good showing could start GMs talking.

Bill, do you think Attard returns for his senior year or does he sign an ELC with the Flyers after this season? Also does Connor McClennon get an ELC? He becomes a UFA on 6/1.

It’s always good to dream & if you think CC wants to pick up & move somewhere else because he cares about winning it is just that a dream. He will not waive & the spin will be he thinks we are close & next year could be much different

Backlund may have been legit, but no one was ever better than the stylin' n' profilin', kiss-stealing, limosine riding, jet plane flying, wheelin' n' dealin' son of a gun ... Wooooo!

I think Frost has really benefited from Yeo's coaching. I really wish the Flyers could keep Yeo in their player development, but I doubt that will be an option

Hey, we're in agreement! Although I tend to separate wrestling eras. Flair and the 4 horseman were the kings of the kayfabe era and style of wrestling. However in terms of pure entertainment, nothing beats the Rock and Stone Cold.

In my opinion, Frost is starting to overcome Yeo's coaching. In my opinion Yeo delayed his development and hurt him more than he's helped him. What Yeo has done is archaic in terms of player development and I want that philosophy and Yeo as far away form player development as possible.

I think it can be both. Yeo is getting through but taking the old and long way to get there. I’d rather have a modern development coach
