I don't think Malkin has ever run a day in his life.

I know theres a lot of Scheifele fans and Copp fans… would you…

2022 & 2023 1st round pick, Kakko and Lundkvist for both of them?

Downside… Strome walks.

why are we trading one of our 2 RW'ers for 2 centers

Because Strome would slide over to RW for this season and next year Othmann has an unimpeded spot in the lineup. We would enter next year with arguably the best center lineup in the league… would be a first for us.

Don't forget too that Blais will come back. In the 5 minutes it seems like he was healthy, looked reasonably solid.

I'm sure Chytil still has some value since he's so young, but I'm not sure he moves the needle nearly as much in a trade as he would a couple seasons ago. He's played enough games where I think teams know he can improve a bit, but they have a gauge of what type of player he is.

I think what we'd have to add would depend more on what Vancouver thought of Nils, I honestly think the team might have to add either a 1st or value that would be equal to a 1st in addition. J.T. has been a ppg player for them and still has a year left. If they don't get what they want, they can just sit on their hands and deal him at the draft or next season's deadline.

I just think back to the Buch trade. Blais was very similar to Chytil, maybe even more poorly viewed. All they had to add was a second.

Not a total apples to apples, but pretty darn close.

Great. So another prospect for Ranger fans to jump all over for seemingly no reason.

Too late, hes the first player in the OHL this season to reach 30 goals. Rangers fans are hyped.

So next year our roster has Blais and Gauthier as the only 2 true RW (if we resign them)

Weve said many times on this board he plays both wings with regularity and no issues in juniors.

He plays RW on both special teams, so naturally people have said he plays both wings (which is not entirely accurate)

you know what's crazy about Schiefele, going back to playoffs last year, the Jets were just rolling, absolutely rolling, they swept the Oilers in 1st round and then Schiefele did that attack on Jake Evans when he was scoring that empty net goal and they have just fallen apart ever since

Winnipeg would burn the arena down with all the executives inside, and rightly so!
If Scheifele and Copp were ours, would you give them up for that?? I wouldn't.

Its not a completely outrageous offer. But I wouldnt trade them because of bad value, only because I wouldnt trade 2 legit centers without getting one back.

IMO, it's a bit of both.
