Literally a few weeks before the Pandemic in January 2020, I was there. And, being married to a foreign woman, yes, I do actually pay attention to this stuff. - BeadyEyedDouche
Yet you couldn't take 10 seconds to look up actual stats that prove you otherwise... Your brain remembered all it saw from your weekend trip to Toronto.

Yes, they are all very segregated.
But somehow, I have managed to still see the diversity. Unlike in Canada. Where it's supposedly soooo diverse. - BeadyEyedDouche
I'm sure the Marriott Hotel had a lot of diversity to see while you were there.
I've been to American cities like you have been to Toronto.. And I saw a lot more diversity while I was in Toronto or the surrounding GTA which is only about 1-2 hours from where I live.
I've been to Buffalo plenty of times, have season tickets. Yet I don't see the diversity there. But from hearing from you all I know it is a very diverse place.
I know for sure I have spent more time in Buffalo than you have in Toronto and for you to think you saw everything let alone EVERYONE person while you were there is so ignorant.

Maybe if this guy would pick up a (frank)ing book for once in his life and save us these pretentious woke dissertations like he has any actual idea of what he's talking about.

He's been to Toronto that one time so he knows everything about it
Hell I've been to Buffalo countless amounts of times in the last 15 years and I still learn new things about the city every time I'm there. And I go to about 20 games if not more a year. (pre-pandemic)

Did the Houston Texans really just hire Lovie Smith? - Stripes77
I believe he was DC for them, so just a promotion. I had heard his name get tossed around. I dk, he had some good years for the Bears at first then fell off obviously. I wasn't sure when the last time he was a HC, been a bit...
Edit: Just looked, he actually won the NFC Championship with CHI in 06. But his back to back blow outs in Tampa were the last time he was a HC. Houston may not have had very many interested candidates tbh, with the Watson situation still ongoing, whoever they hire is probably gone within 2 years regardless.

Harvard political scientist Robert Putnam -- famous for "Bowling Alone," his 2000 book on declining civic engagement -- has found that the greater the diversity in a community, the fewer people vote and the less they volunteer, the less they give to charity and work on community projects. In the most diverse communities, neighbors trust one another about half as much as they do in the most homogenous settings. The study, the largest ever on civic engagement in America, found that virtually all measures of civic health are lower in more diverse settings.

Sounds like a placeholder...again - Stripes77
Can't say, if I was a solid HC candidate, working as a coordinator or something, that I'd want to bet my future on Houston. I forget their GMs name, but sounded like a real piece of work if he's still there.
