This team needs more Jochen and Grier

That team was a machine. Recently watched a playoff game from that era, and they were incredible.

Fair enough. I didn't follow him closely with San Jose, Chicago or Florida.

Chicago had a stacked d during that time so he was able to blend in and not be "the guy"

- Hank Balling

He played almost 23 minutes a night in his time with Chicago.

I am talking end of career, veteran leadership
- Buff36

I will have to take your word for it on that. I haven’t watched much more than about 47 min of Sabres this season.

He was tied with Seabrook in playing time his first 2 seasons, and played a minute less per game than Seabrook his 3rd year there.

Liked your thoughts on playoff Grier Hank. Agreed, he always found another gear, even when we brought him back a few years later (Boston series).

I remember it was super hot outside and inside for this one. Also, the Cambell hit on Umburger is one of the best plays I've seen live it that building. It was incredible because Soupy wasn't know for hits like that whatsoever. Finally, that 4th line! What a stacked roster that was. Ugh. What could have been.

Whether they had the lead or were down by 5. They were never out of a game.

A friend and I were just talking about that!

Down by 3 going into the 3rd? Not worried.

Kim and Kelly look the same and then there is Jessica. Was she adopted?

I kid. I kid.

She got more of her dad’s features (?) idk, I’ve only seen the one pic of her that someone posted the last time she was, um, discussed here.

Edit: like how Demi Moore’s daughter looks more like Bruce Willis

Depends which route the league decides to take. The fact that Tyreek Hill was ever drafted and allowed to play after what he did in college is insane to me.

😧😧.

Whoa. Blast from the past!!!!!!!!’

But very true. Kamara is a star so NFL will do whatever it can to keep him on field

Decided to pop in and see what was going on. Maybe I’ll stick around a bit. Maybe not. Life is busy and the Sabres suck, so my time has been dedicated elsewhere.

I don’t know what’s worse. The Sabres or this place after midnight.

I’m genuinely curious because it’s a hot topic Once they start becoming good again, do you see yourself reinvesting like you were before?

This place has been suspiciously quiet after midnight lately. Can't quite put my finger on why...

Shouldn't we wait for the investigation to run it's course. Surprised that they let him play though if this happened Saturday.

Levi had a serious injury which held him out hence the delay of his game blossoming, this was a good read:

Two seasons, albeit both limited, have given Keefe a clearer picture of Levi. He now sees a 6-foot, 190-pounder whose strengths — hockey sense, speed and competitiveness — collide to produce a goalie who gets to his spots quicker than most. Keefe credited ex-NHLer Mike Condon, now Northeastern’s volunteer goalie coach, for making the most of Levi’s physical and mental advantages.

“I love his hockey sense,” Keefe said. “For a goaltender, I just feel like he’s always aware of what’s happening. He doesn’t need to cheat because he’s so powerful. But he’s never surprised. If you go dot-to-dot on him, he doesn’t need to cheat to get over there. He’s aware of what’s going on. Because of his explosiveness and his athleticism, he’s able to get there and close it quickly.”
