Levi had a serious injury which held him out hence the delay of his game blossoming, this was a good read:
Two seasons, albeit both limited, have given Keefe a clearer picture of Levi. He now sees a 6-foot, 190-pounder whose strengths — hockey sense, speed and competitiveness — collide to produce a goalie who gets to his spots quicker than most. Keefe credited ex-NHLer Mike Condon, now Northeastern’s volunteer goalie coach, for making the most of Levi’s physical and mental advantages.
“I love his hockey sense,” Keefe said. “For a goaltender, I just feel like he’s always aware of what’s happening. He doesn’t need to cheat because he’s so powerful. But he’s never surprised. If you go dot-to-dot on him, he doesn’t need to cheat to get over there. He’s aware of what’s going on. Because of his explosiveness and his athleticism, he’s able to get there and close it quickly.”
Woot, woot! Sun shines on your boy. I'm now an REI product advisor! They're sending me a 4-man tent to keep. All out of nowhere, basically. Always remember to leave a good product review; somebody reads them. And, good gear is F-ing expensive.
May 1st out on the Appalachian trail for a month (Delaware Water Gap north to the border of Vermont).
maybe it's new because teams are thrown together vs in the early 80's when teams practiced for months together and played exhibition games - homiedclown
It might be nice in the future to go back to strictly amateur Olympic hockey. I think it would be enjoyable to see the US and Canadian teams playing a little tournament schedule across both countries before the next games.

Who's been to Bill Gray's Regional Ice Complex in Rochester? Wow. What a great facility. My nephew plays for one of the RoCo AAA teams, and they played the junior Penguins Saturday. Let me say, junior hockey in WNY is lightyears better than jt was in the 1980s. These kids on these two teams (ranked #1 and 2 in the region) are all better than anyone I saw at Caz or West Seneca not named Peter Ratchuck.
Anyway, 4 rinks. Beautiful facilities. One hell of a youth hockey hub. This place will develop multiple NHLers. Not a doubt in my mind.
One of those fantastic movies you never want to watch twice other than the dueling banjo/guitar scene. You meet some true CHARACTERS on the Appalachian trail. My first day on the trail in 2019 i met a legit hobo who hopped train cars across the country. I thought these people died out with Jack Kerouac.
Edit: pSA. The Appalachian trail, the continental divide trail, the Pacific coast trail, the Arizona trail, all of the national parks out West. These are all your privileges as American to enjoy. Don't die without having gone to the Grand Canyon or Zion National Park or glacier National Park or Yellowstone or one of these long trails. Life changing.

love dawks. I wish hockey players had half the personality that Tre and Dion have. Let alone the rest of those guys. - TheSabresTaco
Always seemed like there were more personalities in football, hockey breeds the soft spoken types. Think Tuch and Joker have cool personalities, they just aren't the big personas like that. Wrong sport or something.

This is why the NHL will never truly be mainstream.
It's why guys like Shaq and Charles Barkley are icons well after their retirement and the NHL has none of those. - buffalofan19
Have to agree with this. For the most part the NHL, like MLB, squelches any personality the players have. I mean when Ilya Bryzgalov does the best interviews in league history there's a problem.

There are players that have tried. PK Subban comes to mind. The league desperately needs one of its best players not only accept the spotlight, but embrace it. As much as it makes me roll my eyes, "branding" is important.
