Yikes.
Interesting roll of the dice on a HC with little coaching experience.
I would have guessed they'd re-hash someone like Vignault.
Was hoping for PAtrik Roy - dbot

Good ex-Canuck. Kinda hilarious how many players Piuzza Boy Treliving and Jim Elmer Benning both liked, bodes well for the Flames future - Nucker101

They are not playing their two best players because they can't afford them. This way it looks like they suck and they can draft the two centers that they desperately need.
Shane Wright Connor Beddard and Nick Suzuki is going to be a good 123.

I don't want to go down that rabbit hole about debating the merits of Price and Weber's injury status, i'll just say that I take the players/team at their word that they're injured atm.
As far as tanking = top picks...if only it was that easy!
Surely Bettman is going to gift the Coyotes with a couple 1st OA's.

Wasn’t Price in rehab for substance abuse? Weber injured? Both in K town for the winter. |

The chances of tanking and winning the 1st overall are ~25% – which means they're not picking 1st 75% of the time.
The chances of winning back to back 1st overalls while being the worst team in the league is a solid 6.25% – 93.75% not.
Don't see Bettman helping out the Habs like that, but I'll also have to ask Lordy/Nighthawk if that math checks out.
Also laughable that people want the Canucks to sell it off and tank |

Devils got it twice, not in a row but close enough. Didn't EDM get it like 3 years in a row as well? |

Flames raising the bar, and without any first overall picks.
I like how everyone measures success of their team by comparing them to how good the Flames are doing.
Besides after tonight it may be 5 points. |

I am sure it is an issue with pro athletes . My question was Price was good to go if Seattle drafted him and then admitted when Habs were stuck with his year long cap hit.
He was scheduled to be gone all year according to Bergevin but when MB's job was on the line , Price was ready to leave rehab amazingly in half the time.
I am sure all LTIRs reported by NHL GMs are legit seeing they would never make anything up to fudge the books , but this one caught my curiosity . Same as Weber never being able to put on a skate again exactly one day after the Habs last playoff game. |

Does it surprise you that Ferland can no longer get his helmet on?
I realize you are disappointed about your fave GM Benning, not taking into account that Luongo might retire, but, the Habs players must have actually liked Bergeron and chose not to f uck over that organization and went to LTIR instead. |
