So if Granato is hired because of her scouting who are some of her top acquisitions ? I know she may be one of the greatest female players ever but does that make her a great scout? I look at Seattle scouting and YIKES.

Pretty sure she was hired for her over 30 years of professional hockey experience(and a tiny bit of scouting). They are taking some big chances thinking outside of the box, but she has won a lot and certainly has experience constructing winning teams with team Canada.

I think they should have the puck on their stick, having no need to hit.

You never get tired of telling yourself that. Do you stand in front of a mirror and repeat it over and over? Do you touch your tiny d!ck when you tell yourself that? Do you ever wonder why your wife goes through so many batteries?

I have some concerns about her hiring. I have yet to see any of her education or any of her work. I am sure some who criticized my wanting Jen Botterill, will be disliking this hire even more so, but it doesn't appear that way, not sure why.

Booner had a good point the other day . Take every hiring and ask is this the best person for the job? I am sure one or two are and one or two aren't (including the Sedins )

It may turn out well but is Allvin the best man for the job? We will find out.

Good for the Canucks for being aggressive but more first timers does not mean better.

I think it’s tremendous for society in general when the organization hires someone, in a minor learning role, who’s not of the society “norms”. Breaking tradition and being more inclusive is noteworthy. She doesn’t have a ton of NHL experience but she’s a HHOF player who’s spent a few years in an NHL environment learning…good on her and Jim Rutherford.

This is how I feel about Donny the braggart, havent found it Lefty too much. Guess he hasnt told me enough about how he knows everything cause he goes to the Roxy to try and hang with NHLers and claims insider info. Until then, he doesnt hold a candle.

The very first thing Hab fans and media ask when the team hires someone new is “do they speak French?” Not what management qualifications they have or what their vision for the team is. It’s all about culture. Wrong approach imo.

Nobody has questioned his experience on the ice. What experience does he have off ice in hockey administration? Or any business administration for that matter?

He’s reportedly being hired as an assistant GM, his title is not of real importance, much like the guys (Sedins) hired as “hockey ops” guys. It’s a learning role.

The Sedins are defacto assistant GM’s but labeled as hockey ops guys…no difference.

Good time to act like a community college when your team is having its worst season in franchise history.
