How exactly is Arizona allowed to get away with this deal. The league was giving us poop about playing in the Coliseum and that had almost 3 times the capacity as this “rink.”

When you try to rate Milbury's worst trades.......and it's a long list........trading Chara, a first round pick (2nd overall--became Spezza), and Bill Muckalt for the rights to negotiate with Yashin has to be in the top 5.

They’re all horrible trades. His only good one was a draft pick for Jason Blake.

The NHL will obviously do whatever it wants/needs to do to keep the Coyotes in Phoenix. The organization has been through a bunch of bad owners, sh!tty GM's, and coaches that didn't match the talent they had at any given time. When they first moved to Arizona, they were the Phoenix Coyotes. They changed it to Arizona Coyotes in an attempt to include fans from Tucson (about an 1:15 south). Then they moved to the far northwest side of Phoenix(Glendale) which is about 1:50 from Tucson, without traffic. I only made the trip once a year to Glendale and that was when the Islanders were in town. It alienated those of us that were/are from Tucson. The move to Tempe might actually help rekindle that relationship since the drive would only be about an hour. Not to mention that they have a metric fvck ton of draft picks the next couple years. So if they draft, trade and manage properly, they could be really good in the next few years. My guess is that the league is banking on the team improving over the next few years and fans from Tucson going to more games to increase the fan base and gate numbers. Other than that, I have no answer.

I don't know about that. I think the Michael Peca trade was one that I liked.

How does Johnston get 3 games on for me a clean hit and Marchand a repeat offender get 6 games for sucker punching Jarry to the head and then spearing him in the face mask?
The NHL has never had credibility when it comes to making policy or disciplinary decisions without looking at the crest on the front, or name on the back of the jersey.

Double standards as always. The Yotes should have been moved to Vegas but instead of moving them to a viable market the NHL was more interested in the $500 million franchise fee.
