I didn't say it was "inaccurate", but I think you are wearing glasses that are tainted with a bit of negativity... let's give the guy a chance, see where it brings the team. obviously a good hockey player doesn't automatically make a good coach, but that doesn't mean he'll be terrible either. my 2 cents.

Process matters. Let's say MSL ends up the greatest coach of all time - that doesn't automatically make it a good hire, more luck with hope at the beginning. Ken Holland getting Datsyuk in the 7th round isn't a great draft pick by a great GM, it was pretty much just luck or he would have been drafted 6 rounds earlier. Process matters and if MSL is anything more than interim their process is dog poop and embarrassing

Pretty sure a guy with over a 1000 games in the NhL and one of the most respected player of era knows a system and how to run a practice

the issue is not practices and players development. the issue is game time decision, managing the bench, matching the lines, outcoaching your opponent.... or maybe you can get that in a cracker jack box I don't know.
