Do you ever, just for the sake of variety, try reading what the person wrote? I specifically pointed out publicly traded corporation, and even spelled out what the market logic of that prefix entails.
I feel if I detail the degree of exposure I have had in the business world, both in terms of working there myself, and the degree of familiarity with executives, it will seem like I am showing off, so I am afraid you will have to take my word, or use your imagination.
And with that, I will have to exit this subthread, because I feel we have both had the chance to make our points. - PT21
Why not? It will just be another area of self claimed expertise that we can add to your resume.

Im gonna create a go fund me to buy the Flyers. Thats the only way to fix anything lol - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I wonder what the franchise is actually worth these days. It would be awesome to see a bunch of successful people that came from Philly form an ownership group. Comcast needs to go.

Last Forbes rating has the team valued at 1.2B. Rangers were tops at 2B
They really are 2 different fan bases. The casual Flyers fan may gravitate to the Sixers, but very few hardcore Flyers fans will gravitate to the Sixers. I myself am totally extreme as I will not only NOT gravitate to the Sixers, but I will root for their continued failure!! I'm a meany I guess!! Or I hate the fact that the Sixers tanked like they did to obtain their stars. Hope they keep failing. The Sixers now have 2 oft injured stars that are supposed to carry them. Good chance that fails!! Congrats!! - Phillywhiteout

They would likely lead us through the same process that the Sixers went through. For the same reasons. A "process/Process" which had many, many epic missteps. And would prolong the same pain that is being inflicted right now, for years and years.
They just look underprepared far to often for this to continue. Coming into this year after last years debacle Fletcher should have had a better plan B. - landros 2
Fletcher hasn't even had a plan A since he's been here. He was brought in to "course correct" for Hextall's patient approach. Fletcher's entire tenure has been an abject failure.

Fletcher defiantly had a plan. Hextall was canned for many reasons but the biggest was going to be his bias to live by the draft. I believe Fletcher understands the draft is important however he also knows Comcast isnt going to sit and wait and hope the draft picks worked out.
He has a plan we just might not like it. This season if we dont get one of the top 2 picks I could see Fletcher moving the pick. Mock drafts so far have us taking Juraj Slafkovsky at 6th overall. Frankly not a fan

I would disagree with labeling it a bias to want to focus on a patient draft and develop strategy. Fletcher is just willing to be a lap dog and heed the country club's wishes. I believe all options are on the table including trying to move up in the draft to target a player they like.
You know the ironic thing is that maybe the folks at Comcast aren't smart enough to know that they're still waiting and are likely going to be waiting longer because of the recent actions of the team since Fletcher was hired. Perhaps though they don't have the same goals in mind.
Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. - hockeylover

Frankly, it did not require much reading to figure out your point. The fact that Comcast is publicly traded in no way makes your comment anything other than utter naivete. As for your degree of "exposure" to that world, I "know a little" myself. I do like your Shakespearean exit though and hope that henceforth you have no further exchanges that sully your refined spirit.

It is not "Fletcher." It is plain now that it is him and Clarkie. This is the "Chuckie/Bobbie" show. And that they have no plan.

Dude, publicly traded companies like Comcast, and especially division heads, face unrelenting market pressures. Look at how long they last on average. Every single move they make has direct correlation to the stock price, and every single movement of the stock price affects either bonuses or demotions.
As for knowing a little, I get the little part. Your omission of the traded part, and then pretending it does not matter, provides eloquent testimony.
And the exit wasn't Shakespearan. It so, it would have been followed by a beer.* As a diabetic, I cannot drink.
* look it up, cupcake. Your knowledge of Shakespearan exits are almost certainly on par with your "little" knowledge of stock market pressures.
