you can tell STL was a bit nervous during the post-game presser but seemed really honest about everything, and all things considered he did a very good job answering questions.

He's gonna be great.
His focus is second to none, he's been studying the whole game for 10 years, waiting for his opportunity.
He's gonna help some of our players for sure, they needed a spark, and he's ALL spark.
Oh and Caufield scored twice (screw that disallowed goal, what a shot!) and looked like he had fun, that was nice to see.
but we all agree on that and I think we all know they are giving him the job to plug a hole, wave something shiny so we forget the horrendous season and for him to evaluate the players
And if by any miracle he very good at it, you confirm him and say it was the plan all along
while the real plan is for him to be an assistant next year, thus while I feel there no harm in hiring him.
Also, You can't loose 7-1 to Devils with their 5 th goaler and missign a few important guys, after a week off... - Xizord
Absolutely…
The new requirements to have the Habs permanent Coach job are:
a) have a last name with an English origin
b) speak French but with an accent
c) no NHL coaching experience…

Caufield played a hell of a game. I liked seeing St-Louis talking with him during the game.
It's exciting, but at the same time the mood is not the same. St-Louis arrives here with no expectations, Ducharme was coaching like a guy trying to hang to his job as he could.
I've said many times that I'm accepting of human error and that refs are human...replay becomes all or nothing but professional sports really are in fact sports entertainment and reviews and replays kill entertainment...just let refs get some calls wrong here or there and let fans discuss and female dog. My two cents since forever

the offsides thing is just so dumb. 99% of the goals that get called back don't violate the spirit of the rule. and im not even talking about the call last night. i can live with that one. it's the calls where a guy's skate is inches over the line before the puck. like was that really an unfair advantage that needs mitigation?

As I said replay is all or nothing (and yet still they get some things wrong)
You can't have replay and argue about the spirit of the rule. The second you have replay the spirit dies...which is why I find it silly and would rather acceot human error will happen...the delays and entertainment murders that happen along with it are alsl brutal. The NFL reviews every score now so when my team scores I don't get to celebrate but first look for a flag and then wait on review...(frank) that garbage
