excellent 3rd for Mtl, lots of positives to build on.
won't say that often, but with Price in net they win that one imo.

ugh, I know odds weren't going to be in their favor, my point is, we don't know. without covid, no confinement, players being able to see their families, etc., would some players perhaps have a better season..? would there be a different vibe going on..? would some injuries have never happened? etc. it's all still speculative.

I'll speculate: Without that realignment, 2021 would have been very similar to 2020 (at least with them just getting into the bottom berth; the 2020 regular season wasn't much affected by the pandemic). All the other changes, bubble and whatnot, had an equal effect on the rest of the league. The realignment and removing the parity of playing the rest of the league, however, gave an unequal advantage.

BTW, you're missing a great game: TB at Col. That's good hockey, regardless of how you feel about either team.

right, you're able to precisely predict the ramifications of a covid-free world, good for you

they consecutively beat TOR, WPG and VGK, nobody thought that would ever be possible.

and I'd rather watch the habs right now (surprisingly lol)

At least MSL is letting the young kids play some big situations. Caulfield looks to have more jump in his game already.

Play the kids, give them the big minutes, that’s how they will learn. Play Suzuki, Caulfield and Romanov a ton.

It is clear Primeau is not ready, he needs more time to develop.

amen. poor kid lol.

and yes, play the kids. as STL mentioned himself, if there's one thing he's good at, it's inspiring others, and me might help them greatly in gaining their confidence back. although I'd like to see CC and Poehling play some playoff hockey with the Rocket.

No predictions. It's all hindsight. There was no way that team as it was put together was making the playoffs had it not been for the realignment and division only match-ups. Forget all other factors.

And now that the Habs game is over, there's still time to switch over. Like 2 min left in the 1st right now.
