When a dummy like myself knew what point you were making with the posting of that article, you know those that didn't get your point are even dumber than I am, or just like to post their political bullpoop whenever possible.
Maybe a bit of both. - Reubenkincade
Everything is perceived as a challenge to their fragile way of thinking, if you post the article from their chosen resources like FOX or the Sun you will get a or some other I know this and am smarter then you. |

JR seems to have a bit less ego than Holland though - JR a mentor building the team that is forward thinking to run when he retires. Lets hope it works.
People complaining about our Pres Cups....those were FUN times. Down by 2 going into the 3rd and you almost new we were coming back.
We lost in game 7. SCF.
Good times, minus the riots. Anything close to that / a CHANCE at the cup would be the dream |

There's a lot of irony in people claiming others are poorly informed when they consistently go back to the same unreliable, biased, and disputed sources, or when they point to a reliable source but completely whiff on what conclusion is meant to be drawn from the information provided |

This will or should be the same from management to management, it's what they do. They trade players to make the team better in their assessment.
Not sure what people are expecting, no names mentioned, "hey we are the new management we will not be trading anyone, great group of mediocre players here but gosh darn it, we're going to be different and never trade or mention trying to better the team...yes I know it's innovative, but we need to be a different management than the last".
Now I was one that was fine with Benning, Linden and I didn't know Weisbrod form the stick boy. Benning had a good go at his vision and it was time for new ideas and a new vision. JR comes in and naturally people will be excited to see the sh - Makita[iitshow over a new hope. This is exciting for most until JR creates his own shitshow and is replaced, then there will be a fringe group that will also denounce the new hires and new vision.
Mentioning gender is pretty well expected, they just hired 3 women that has never been done, this is innovative in the NHL circles.
But there will always be the glass half full argument, this is the same, this is worse, this doesn't align with the first words out of his month, these people never succeeded in anything, these people will be overruled by JR, JR traded picks like candy.
If people can voice their displeasure with the new management team, others can certainly voice their support.
I like the change, because it is change with hope, I personally couldn't give a (frank) that JR had 2 superstars and traded players to win 2 Stanley Cups. I also couldn't give 2 shits about past perceived injustices that any of the women or men have done...OMG, she twitted that FA should sell the team...that is sooo terrible.
For the last six years I have listened to Benning ,this Benning that . He has wasted assets . He traded draft picks . Yet now people are excited to have the king of moving draft picks on board. Double standard if you ask me. He was let go because he left the cupboards pretty empty and his time had past.
Not only that but the two first round pick he did select were two mediocre selections. He ended up trading his first ever first round selection and then years later used another first round pick to get him back. Excellent.
Cammy Granato has done sweet fu ck all in hockey management thus far and is living off the laurels of her hockey playing career much like the Sedins but everyone is thrilled to have her aboard. Can someone tell me why? What has she done in hockey management that has made her the must have here in Vancouver? She was with Seattle three years and the roster assembled there is pure horsesh1t.
Aside from having a big mouth and being a very good showman of selling themselves why are you excited about Rachel Doerrie , again please give me examples of her great analytics that has made her a must hire.
I too was glad they changed management it was clearly time but for anyone to think that hiring Ken Holland 2.0 ( JR) and six questionable hires makes us better is probably in for a bit of an eye opener.

Yup.. cruised into the Playoffs and then played an 8th seed that fired their coach in December and had been playing playoff hockey once Sutter was hired. The Canucks forgot they had to kick it up a gear in the playoffs.. and dont forget the Brown hit on Daniel Sedin.

Just wait 2 years when Aqua cleans house after watching all his money getting wasted on a larger incompetent management team. |

She has been around hockey her entire life. Probably had to work harder to play quote un quote a man's game while she was growing up. She can bring a different perspective on how to assemble a team. She just brings a different set of eyes to the table that may or may not help making a decision. It's not going g to hurt one bit in the short term |

So had I and I supported him until his last year, always two sides to analyze.
To the rest of the post, JR stated he would undertake an evaluation process and he did. He hired whom he thought would be best for his group and vision.
I couldn't give a rats ass that Rachel is a loud mouth, I didn't run the hiring process, I do not have any resumes to scrutinize and neither does any one else.
Granato has a fantastic hockey resume, but because you don't like the make up of the Kraken you want to place that all at her feet, how do you know anything that was happening in that organization to put all the blame on her.
And if you think JR is Holland 2.0 that is awesome for you. My point is I do not agree and also get to voice this just like anyone else gets to voice their pleasure in the new direction that has happened since Dec 6th. |

Same as Sedins . Let's first of all drop the crap about a mans game. This is hockey and all I am asking for is one example of her management skills .
Mathew Bernier was gifted to Seattle so I don't credit her for that .
If I was to give her one accolade it would have been for Jared McCann but the rest of the roster is pretty sh1t.
Why a team chooses Cale Fluery over Carey Price who was a Conn Smythe candidate a few days before is mind boggling.

Great players don't always make great coaches. Gretzky .
People need to separate Granato the player and Granato the manager. She has done d1ck all so far. She was in charge of scouting of course I am going to put her in the roster assembly fiasco. I am not going to blame her for the crappy uniforms.
One person I do think will be effective is Castonguay because she was actually working in the role somewhat related to her hiring. She was good at getting her clients their money and now she has to 180 and save her employer money.

We all offer different opinions doesn't make us must hires.
This is exactly my point she has been with the Seattle Kraken for three years and that is a horrible roster.

I guess the difference being that she has a vagina and you hate her halfling husband because he spoke out against Benning.
I'm pretty sure the GM had a hand in assembling the roster in Seattle. |
