You've always had a built in filter so you hardy the person to claim no one is saying this or that.
- boonerbuck

Maybe, I guess that is your perception, but I will admit to having a built in filter to your posts.

Same as Sedins . Let's first of all drop the crap about a mans game. This is hockey and all I am asking for is one example of her management skills .

Mathew Bernier was gifted to Seattle so I don't credit her for that .

If I was to give her one accolade it would have been for Jared McCann but the rest of the roster is pretty sh1t.

Why a team chooses Cale Fluery over Carey Price who was a Conn Smythe candidate a few days before is mind boggling.

You show me one post of mine that I said I hate any of the new management ? Questioning the format and the history does not equal hate. I swear some of you guys make something a lot bigger than it really is.

I have heard tons of bad posts on here since the Sedins have been hired but out of all the b1tching done by other posters on here we have come to the conclussion Vantel hates vaginas

- VANTEL

Not sure why some people think fans aren't allowed to question decisions or be critical of things/decisions made, without getting butthurt.

Anyways, I have some of the same concerns as you do, especially with the Granato hiring, but I will reserve judgement.
I am assuming I will be called a sexist or something, because of this, but I will just laugh and remind people about who brought up hiring a female(Jennifer Botterill) for what I believe to be the 1st time in this comments section

I'm definitely through doing any homework for anyone on this board buddy, so I won't be doing anything remotely like that. Seems like you've really gone out of your way to dislike the Granato hire, in particular. I was simply saying you're the first of much hate to come but I'm reserving my judgement until after they make a trade, signing or any roster move as it seems like it's pretty hard to discourage any of his hires before they've done anything. To each their own!
- neem55

I do question the Granato hire but because of the past management record and results, no different if they hired Shane Doan for the same spot. It has nothing at all to do with what she has under her jeans.

I think some people deserve the recognition they get just like Carol Schram Emilie Castonguay Jennifer Botterill.

Then I think some people are gifted there position because of who they are . I think they are gifted their new spot you don't .

I think public media sways a lot of thinking and there are people like JD Burke Doirree that get a platform where there voice is heard and followed. That idiot Uncle laliet ( the idiot who rented the plane to fire Benning ) now has his own podcast and is supported.

I have no idea why my questioning of the new hiring's are so talked about.

Out of the seven management hiring's that were just done , one guy has experience and is going to teach everyone. He is going to be one tired fucker by the time TDL rolls around.

I see nothing wrong with responding to yours or anyone else questions, this is a discussion board.

You have good questions and concerns, I have different take on the situation and thought it was ok to engage in a conversation, I'm not labeling you.

The problem I see with this discussion board is, if it is counter response then it becomes exaggerated, like, you don't like women ((frank) me I love women), you are a sexist, you hate swedes, yada, yada. And then it has to be generalized everyone loves this or hates this.

I wonder why Botterill turned down the job? I can see the possibility of family and not wanting to move but I do wonder if it was something else.

She would have been the one to hire IMO

Seems like Pettersson and Podkolzin are becoming a duo. Hoglander riding shotgun on that line.

I asked if JR hired the best people available for the positions and multiple posts popped up about being butthurt about woman, boomer etc... I feel the same about Allvin though... People can't help themselves. They look like programmed sheep when they start with the incontrollable knee jerking all over people. Then you come along and say no one has done this...

Ok, well to defend myself and discuss semantics, it was the word/premise that anyone that questioned hiring women were being called a "sexist" by everyone that countered the hiring of women as the most qualified posts.

I have seen a couple, repeat a couple of people bring up the "misogynistic" term to certain posters but to label everyone jumping to that level is a reach.

But that is the way things roll here.

She was the 1st female offered the AGM job, so you know Rutherford and many others, think highly of her.

Definitely think it had something to do with family commitments.

It could have been a number of things . Direction of the team ? Love for the Leafs? Personnel ? Who knows.

Okay, just to play devil's advocate here, what makes her more qualified than the other two female AGM's?

For the record, the only female AGM hire I think was qualified was Castonguay, not Botterill or Granato

It’s all about your pessimism when they are yet to make any on ice moves. JR only been here a couple months. He said he’ll assess the team. He’s filled up the front office bigger than ever before. That is all that has happened. Let the hires settle in & wait for what is to come. Fair?

On another note the Oil have been dysfunctional in their front office for many many years. On ice it’s cap allocation & a poorly built team. No goaltending cannot be fixed keeping it status quo.

We’ve a brand spanking new front office led by an old seasoned Pres. He at least has embarked on a new & pioneering approach. He has sliced up the pie & delegated roles & has gotten fresh perspectives from these hires instead of consensus ass kissers.

It’s always better to be diverse to avoid the trappings of single mindedness. The only single minded goal is winning & not the who & how they get there. Nobody cares about off ice if the on ice gets the results. It has only just begun…

There's no way there would be this much discussion if it was just 2 dudes that got hired.
