Rutherford ain't big on keeping picks either dude. Gonna be interesting to see where he plays this out with Allvin on board. Still lots of Hockey left to play. - LordHumungous

Only move Miller this year if is an absolute haul. If not off season. Completely agree. Garland is serviceable forsure just not worth the 1st and the anchor coming back with him - Jkuzzi
For sure but I can't see Rutherford/Allvin doing a major fleece job here. Sure OEL's contract sucks but he is also serviceable for a time. Patience and let it play out. Just think if most had their way Petey Boeser Miller Horvat Hughes Pods Hogs and maybe Demko would all be gone... |

I really just hope this management team goes after dmen. It's not a huge coincidence that the Rangers are awesome quick after adding Trouba and Fox. Yes there is more to it then that but those 2 with panarin are responsible for a massive amount of it |

Most? Come on.
I think they try and re-sign Miller. And I hope they do. |

Regardless of covid crap most Americans don't want to play in Canada they are taxed to death here. Can't really blame them TBH. |

Maybe not but he entertains me and I haven’t been entertained by this team in a long time. That end to end was a thing of beauty. One of the best. Here’s some others:

True. I'd rather play in California myself. Imagine making 4 mill per then going to the beach year round and nobody really knows you. It would be unreal I live across the street from a beach but it definately isn't beach weather year round here lol |

Uh, the Rags are that good because of their goaltending, which is by far the best in the league and it's not even close. Not because of Trouba and Fox who won the Norris last year because most of the other contenders missed significant amounts of time due to COVID. |

Not entirely true. The California tax rate is just as high as Canada with far less benefits. You can’t blanket the entire US the same. Each state tax rate is unique. |

If the contract is structured properly, Americans can have huge tax benefits playing in Canada.
Because each away game is taxed in that jurisdiction, if you set up your contract with July 1st bonuses, your daily pay is much, much lower, meaning your “away game taxes” are greatly reduced. Take a look at Matthews’ contract:
https://www.capfriendly.c...m/players/auston-matthews
He has no base salary. He takes his July 1st bonus in Arizona, and his taxes are no problem.
And for Canadians, there are tax advantages by deferring income until after you stop playing - stuff you can’t do in the States. |

Interesting. I should try my tablet one day.
Is that how people can make an alt, using different devices? |

It’s getting to the point where I am thinking of becoming a season ticket holder - give Ek the $20 and not have to deal with all the crap.
Remember when Hockeybuzz had pop-up ads to hardcore porn sites?
Good times. |

Yes and no. You also need unique phone numbers to log a new account (if I remember correctly). The different devices will change the IP addresses only. |

They had one more year of embarrassing contracts and instead they take on another horrendous contract for the next 6 or 7 years and a midget who doesn't want to play in Canada. Again, one of Benning's worst trades on a long list of horrible trades and signings. - Marwood

Yup. So tired of people saying Canada pays more than Americans. It’s not accurate to make a blanket statement like that.

More tax write off in US but those are only available to the wealthy few. |
