Not entirely true. The California tax rate is just as high as Canada with far less benefits. You can’t blanket the entire US the same. Each state tax rate is unique. - bloatedmosquito

Edit: I’m not saying Canadian-based players pay less - just that it isn’t the gap people think it is.

Uh, the Rags are that good because of their goaltending, which is by far the best in the league and it's not even close. Not because of Trouba and Fox who won the Norris last year because most of the other contenders missed significant amounts of time due to COVID. - DariusKnight
Adding that Trouba & Fox are not cheap. Fox fell into their lap. Their high picks are on a slow pace.

But yet many in here (yes many...) advocated the trade at the time. Garland was the target and as stated OEL we needed to take coming back to dump those three contracts. People here just still need a reason to b!tch cry and whine no matter what so OEL is the new LE...
