if Kravtsov hasnt backed off his trade demand then they are gonna trade him
him staying in Russia unless we trade him is bad asset management too
it doesn't have to be a for a rental though - jimbro83
I get he might get traded, but let’s find a team that needs a winger (Kings) and try and get a center (Kupari?). That type of deal I’m ok with, I bet we might not get complete value but that doesn’t mean trade him just to trade him. |

Side note, I was just looking at Will Cuyelle stats, when we drafted him I think he was listed at 6’1 if I remember correctly, he’s now 6’4. |

There is no need for urgency. The Rangers have a solid hold on a playoff spot. The only urgency is if they start to fall off!! - Brukie
i'd rather fix it before it becomes a real problem. Bottom line is we can't go into the playoffs without addressing some 5v5 scoring issues |

Its not a pressing urgency. But 3C and LHD should be the main 2 moves made and ideally not in a throw away manner. |

Understood, I presume the extra year of Miller would mean you would be okay with that offer for him? - airjan23
Yes, that’s probably where I sit. That extra year is helpful with the Strome situation. Will draw a line in the sand for his next contract. If he demands too much, let him walk.
I also don’t want to use all of the cupboard at one trade deadline. They should go for it, no doubt, but they need to keep some pieces around for the next couple seasons, too. |

This is where I stand in not making trades just for the sake of making trades. |

What about Kravtsov and Jones for Romanov and a 2nd? Fixes our need at LHD, MTL gets 2 very good prospects. |

I would LOVE to see this trade ( or a similar variation ). I just don't think Gorton is going to want to make his first significant trade with the Rangers --- hope I am wrong! |

Unless he really wants the players HE drafted a few years ago 👀 |

He seems to be billed as a solid 3RW. Personally Id rather go for Jarnkrok or give an extra for Jeannot. |

Not a fan of Lehkonen.
Romanov and Schneider would be the most physical 3rd pairing I can ever remember the team having. They are both young and arguably not even in their prime! Would be sooo much fun to watch them together! |

I think given the chance, Robertson with Schneider would do the same |

I don't think you realize how much Romanov is a hitting machine:
Romanov 43 games played 156 hits
Trouba 47 games played 131 hits
Trouba also plays over 2.5 mins more per game.
Robertson seems to be a good young player in the AHL, but he is not anything near Romanov as far as physicality... |

I'm not trying to bring up politics, it's more or less what will happen IF Russia invades Ukraine? Will they recall their citizens like Shesty? if nothing happens till the end of the season, but the poop hits the fan in the off season will player be stuck in a hostile territory? |

I highly doubt it will get to that point. I sure Russia will invade Ukraine but I don’t think they’ll recall their citizens |

One interesting thing about watching the Olympics without NHL players is all of the guys who wouldn’t have made the teams getting to showcase themselves. Similar to how the Rangers signed Zucc after the Olympics, I could see a number of signings by teams this off-season. |

Othman when he was drafted was scouted as a kid that likes to get under opponents skin. Cuyelle and Othman could make the exact type of 3rd line we’ve been looking for. |

Is that what we're looking for in a first round pick? An ideal third liner? |

No need to wait... Kreider will start to slump again, bread will be stuck in Russia due to WW3, and kakko and laf are busts |
