I think COL wants Giroux depending on the cost. COL has no cap space so they probably need a 3rd team like BUF,OTT, NJ or Detroit to help out with that. No way they give up Newhook for a rental.

That's exactly what they should do. Be a facilitator for teams to make deals for future assets.

The rest of it just comes down to coaching and using a player's strength to their advantage. Seems like a lot of the older NHL coaches have a system and they force the players to adapt to the system rather than adapting the system around the players

They definitely need help on D but MTL is probably asking too much right now. Giroux gives them depth at C if MacKinnon goes down or Kadri gets his annual playoff suspension.

The Flyers will put Hayes on LTIR also, since Fletcher stated he needs more work on his core this year. That means the Flyers will have room to take a contract or two back in any deal.

Anybody else watching the Detroit broadcast? They are pretty fair in their assessments of the game. Even they are almost bewildered by the Flyers defensive zone play

Not that I’ve seen. That Mayhew cut was ridiculous for just going into the boards hard. I’m guessing a screw from inside the helmet caught his forehead or something.

Braun definitely looked like he was playing through pain in the 3rd. I think he took a puck to the body on one of the penalty kills but I didn’t see where.

Moritz Seider, 20 year old defenseman picked 6th overall, playing over 22 minutes a game and scoring 32 points in 49 games. This is the definition of top end talent.

Somehow this season has been a bigger poop show farce than last year when they allowed 6+ goals 11 times in 56 games.

Franchise is in a worse place than it's ever been. Just sickening the poop product they put on the ice.

i find it hard to get to upset with the team since they're playing to expectations now

This team has been mismanaged for 10 plus years. No reason to expect that to change any time soon. It shouldn't be this hard. They cannot judge talent, their coaching has been awful. I guess tge hockey gods are taking revenge at long last for the bullies
