Id trade anyone not named Lafreniere, Schneider or Othmann (apparently the new untouchable lol)
- Slimtj100

I'll reserve judgement on Othmann. He looks to be doing great though.

Zac Jones isnt untouchable, however his ELC contract is incredibly important to us to manage the cap situation were in. The only way I consider it is if Robertson shows growth and an ability to play at an NHL level.

Good move by the Flames, good solid forward fits right in with their style of play. Timing also correct, getting out in front of the deals the prices will only go up.

I like it for Gorton too, he's good at acquiring assets in a situation like this

Nope.

But I was the OR nurse for Michael Haley, Roope Hintz, Jay Beagle and Johan Larsson.

so what's your take on my convo with StatBoy_Steven?

he is completely against trading Zac Jones, Nils Lundqvist or Braden Schneider in any deal and figures the team can trade Trouba in 2023 despite him having a NMC through 2024

- jimbro83

I would have said deal Trouba last season. Given what we have seen this year and what he has meant in the locker room and off the ice, unsure I am trading him at thus point. But if he keeps playing as he has, they could move him if need be.

I likely only move Jones or Lundqvist for a player with term, like Miller unless they add another forward and d-man separately and this would be the final piece in the possible puzzle.

Which side were you on?

personally I dont think it even worth the conversation to talk about Trouba being traded because he has a full NMC until 2024 and I felt that way when he wasn't playing well last season

now that he's so vital to the team its even less of a possibility

I think of Zac Jones and Nils Lundkvist as redundant, so one of them is expendable, I dont know how anyone can argue that

I would definitely not trade both and defintely not give them away, but yeah, one can be included in a good package

Exactly and they are also redundant to Fox but on a lesser level. So keep 1 trade the other.

And I also had my isuues with Trouba, but about 1/2 way through last year and this year he has shown to be quite valuable on and off the ice to this team.

Same as the rest. Core muscle disruption (aponeurotic plate), possibly has a proximal adductor tendon disruption/tear.

Are you waiving goodbye to Strome?
Copp to me is more 3C than 2C but maybe he can fill that role
High price for Jarnkork
The first could net Giroux with Kravtsov

Even if we didnt go after Giroux, I think the team would be so much more improved simply because of that third line.

Kessel could be plan D. The good part here is we retain our 1st round pick and can maybe use Kravtsov to add another pick or swap prospects or eat some cash for a team trying to make a trade for a hefty price.
