I think I'd keep Toffoli. His contract is great value, he seems to enjoy it here and you need a couple veteran players around the kids

Don't be so sure about that, as Petry is not on a horrible contract, and most GM's recognize the effect the toxic environment of MTL is having on these players. Petry is a good player having a horrible season....that can be said about many, eh.

Justin Trudeau is invoking the same powers to deal with peaceful protests that he happens to hate.

You can’t bring in the military with the emergencies act though. Been downgraded.

Like I said, I give them til after the draft / free agency next year (2023) before we start to see what this roster starts looking like and and direction they are going in developing / drafting prospects.

It will take them a while to get out from some of the poop on this rosters... that being said, there are good players on this roster, but a lot of these players don't fit together very well. Hoffman never really had a position / line to play on this team, Dvorak was not what the Habs needed, Gallagher and Anderson can work on the same team if the lines are balanced (but not as they are currently are constructed), etc...

And you got the Price and Weber mess to sort out, too.

I mean, 8 wins so far.. hard to (frank) it up worse.

He was never coming back this year once it was obvious this team was not even gonna win 15 games.

Ditto likely for Edmundson.
