I find Petry is looking much worse though, especially considering his contract, but yeah David has not been an intimidating factor whatsoever on the backend.

I wonder if this Heineman fella will be any good, from what I've read he's a hard-working player, which is never a bad thing if you want to establish a new team culture throughout the roster.

I won't pretend to know poop about the prospect but for the new guy's first deal I'm content

it was a fantastic return for a middle 6 player. there is nothing to not like about the deal.

he is not going to get any faster moving forward and seems to be a "move a year too soon" type of guy.

No, i wouldn't image either. But you never know with these Canadian teams lately and the highs and lows. Calgary is currently on a tear, but it may not last either. (very unlikely)

I think i'd rather more 1st rounders next year, but beggars can't be choosers. Would be nice to have 4 first rounders (at least) after the wheeling and dealing at this deadline/draft and the Dvorak 1st back too.

I am just hoping they fall off a bit and finish just outside the playoffs, the odds a re slightly better on that than the pick moving to 2023. Cgy should be a playoffs team...maybe a first round exit is the best MTL can hope for from a pick position point of view
