why, because the tipis didn't have a spa inside?

also, I'm sorry to hear about your cousin, my condolences.

Probably because no one wants a (frank)ing tipi, especially when they all have huge (frank)ing trucks where they can sleep.

100% I chose to be vaccinated but I wasn't super enthusiast about it, did it mainly to protect others, but I respect people who chose not to, I mean it's the most rushed vaccines in mankind's history. I'm just tired of left wing people calling right side people covidiots or antivaxxers and the right wing people calling left wings sheeps.

If someone doesn't wanna get vaxxed, that is their choice. I would never force anyone.

But that decision puts the majority of others at risk, and as such, that person's ability to be a full part of society should be restricted until the pandemic os over.

Bottom line, decisions have repercussions.

If you make the choice to not get vaccinated, then you need to be prepared to accept the repercussions. One person's freedom ends when it impacts the freedom of others.

Heck, we don't even let kids into the public school system without their childhood vaccinations (not covid ones, all the rest we got as kids)... so why this is a surprise to anyone is beyond me.

And those who refuse to abide by these rules need to be called out and shunned.

That simple.

Yeah but once the people at risk are vaccinated they are not really a risk to others, just themselves and the health care system maybe, if the hospitalisations are way down..

the majority don't sleep in their trucks, only some do. Most people in Ottawa attending the occupation are not truckers....they are anti-mandate.

What’s so annoying is that if Price “retires” à la Weber, the Canadiens will have lost both of their core pieces for nothing, nada, zilch, rien because they will have rode them both for too long. Back in the day, this organization knew when it was time to move on from a player before you couldn’t get anything for them. Moving former stars for draft picks to desperate expansion teams … These are too huge pieces to lose for absolutely nothing

Cap space is the only small victory here. If you wanted to take the glass half-full approach?

Wrong.

The health care system is overburdened, people seeking regular care for things like cancer, car accidents, etc... are suffering with the lack of medical support because of the people who have chosen not to be vaccinated.

Not to mention the mental and physical impact on front-line health care workers.

Just because most people are double vaccinated does not mean the non-vaccinated can no longer do harm only to themselves.

10% of the population unvaccinated is still close to 4 million people.

I think the pandemic could last 10+ years and by the end of it people still wouldn't fully understand how the vaccine works, and what it entails.

The issue is that this is not a local problem.

There are too many people in the world that remain unvaccinated, which will only lead to more variants. So until the richer countries start to provide resources, expertise and vaccines to those areas, the cycle will continue.

We are too global a community now, with people migrating from place to place all the time... just takes 1 person to create another lockdown.

I think the world is in a sad place right now, and while I am a pessimist by nature, I think even the most optimist is starting to believe we are beyond a point of fixing this problem.

Yeah but if they can't go in public places (vax passport) then why are they such a vector of transmission? As for the pressure put on the front-line health care workers, yeah you are right but same happened with the C difficile, influenza and even some gastroenteritis. Might be time to answer that problem which has been a concern in Quebec for the past 25 years instead of going into an idealogic fight as we are no more in a pandemic but more of an endemic.

we had a great teacher in high school who just kept stacks and stacks of newspapers in his classroom and if he wasn't showing a movie he would just say "summarize one of the newspaper articles" and that would be all you had to do that day. in high school! i think he was close to retirement lol.
