It’s easy, E4+ is closer to E5 but in reality it’s more of a E5- depending on how you look at it. Now when you get to E6 that means the player failed his medical examination which pulls the deal down to a E1 position. From here you might even get into -E1 which means maybe over the summer this deal could surface again, naturally depending on the Cap and the contract. I hope I cleared this up? - Tee56
Now I’m more confused. Ek never considers cap and contract when reporting roomerz.
I was under the impression E5- was when it was a done deal but the league vetoed the trade. |

Sabres are LOADED with 1sts the next couple of years. Boy would Chycrun be a nice piece.
First this year, first next year, Olafsson and either Lukkannen or Portillo. (both young goalies)
Dahlin - Chycrun
Power - Jokiharu
Samuelsson - Fitzgerald |

Pretty certain if I go looking through archives and archives I will find a bunch of E5 for things that NEVER happened at all or even sniffed at. |

[quote=jlmooney]Don't forget about the Giroux/Berube connection as Chief was CG's coach in Philadelphia.
The Blues don’t need a forward. They addressed that in the off season adding Buchnevich and Saad.

Colorado has been gaining some momentum as Darcy Kuemper's play has improved. If the Avalanche doesn't have to spend for Fleury they could become the favorite.
Allow me to translate this into the actual world. No one who seriously follows the Avs except for casual fans, assorted idiots on NHL Network, or the two guys here think the Avs have any interest in MAF.
Consider:
1) Darcy Kuemper is the single most expensive acquisition Joe Sakic has made since he became the Avs GM. Joe Sakic has famously been a VERY shrewd trader. Toews for two 2nds. Burakowsky for a 2nd and a 3rd. Grubauer for a 2nd and taking Brooks Orpik's contract. Saad for Zadorov. Kadri for a year of Barrie and Kerfoot. etc, etc. Joe Sakic does not pay a 1st, a 3rd and a Right Shot D on an ELC, drafted 32nd who started in every Avs playoff game last year for a G and then turn around and trade for an aging goalie having a mediocre season who looked cooked in last year's playoffs.
Does that sound like Joe Sakic to anyone here?
2) Keumper has been lights out for two+ freaking months. He took a bit to get acclimated, just like Grubauer did, heck just like Roy did (anyone remember Roy's struggles his first couple months with the Avs?) but he's now exactly what the Avs bargained for and they're on top of the league standings.
Is Friedman saying anything about MAF to the Avs? Seravalli? LeBrun? Dreger?
Of course they aren't. They have actual sources and follow teams instead of regurgitating lazy, tired narratives.
'gaining momentum' FFS - they're at the top of the league in points, points percentage, goal diff and just about every other category. They're 17-1-2 this calendar year. F me. It's almost indescribable how out of touch these guys are.
Lazy, lazy, incredibly out of touch and lazy. |

Only Connor McDavid (1.43) is scoring better this season.
It's not even a joke to consider Nazem Kadri (1.41) in the hart trophy discussion |

Some good points here. But it's about winning the Cup. MAF is the best playoff clutch goalie to ever be a trade deadline chip. Do the math.

I forgot about that HB - you've convinced me. A 1st and Newhook for MAF! Destination, glory!
This article predates Fleury's glorious '16 and '17 Final's runs, sitting on the bench with a ball cap on watching Matt Murray, but is amusing nonetheless.

I guess that one of Eklund's sources is not Frank Seravalli, according to Frank, Claude Giroux went to Flyers management and said he would remove his NMC but only to Colorado or St. Louis. The Blues on this on really came out of the "Blue"! |
