Kravtsov already said he's willing to come over as soon as a deal happens and I doubt he would have a hard time cracking the Habs' roster, to at least get a good look anyway - OB

i just think the habs can do better. chariot is a good get for any team. and for all lek's flaws. he is a valuable piece for any team heading into the POs
and with 50% retained? that makes them attractive to far more than one team.
kravtsov is a huge meh to me. so i could be biased. there are better prospects to be had. he also has left NA twice when things didn't seem to be going his way. |

Anything? He was picked 9th overall 3 drafts ago, he's big, he's fast and he has a real good snipe. Isn't that exactly what they're looking for? Good, young players will loads of potential? |

Meh... he'd rather go play at home if not in the big show, I don't blame him for that one bit, no room for him in NY, he knows that, he's having a solid season in the K, although it's on hold right now I think |

oh I wasn't necessarily referring to that specific player, just to your logic when you said he'd have a good look with the habs. I don't really know anything about him but yeah he could be an interesting addition, but as gramps was pointing out the fact that the habs would have to retain 50% makes you think there might be better deals to be made elsewhere. |

That 50% isn't much with both of them being without contracts beyond this year, it only helps facilitate a trade the Habs would like... and I think receiving pretty much 3 1st round picks for Chiarot and Lehkonen, it's the least they can do |

about Petry, Stéphane Waite was saying he's a mentally fragile guy, which would explain his current performances. I know Waite likes to talk a lot out of his ass but this would make a whole lot of sense. I'm just hoping it won't affect the return too much, because his contract isn't as light as Chiarot's... |

I would, for the right offer obviously, and don't get me wrong, I don't like seeing these guys shipped out for ultimately a fist full of magic beans, it just needs to happen, all we can do is hope Habs management and scouting teams do their jobs and get the right magic beans. |

Different kind of trade for sure, longer term.... he would still be in demand I think, despite his struggles this season |

Don't think it's about ice time, he wants to be in the NHL or in Russia, I don't see that as a problem really |

Dallas and the odd rumor saying maybe Detroit. Those 2 would be awesome trade partners because if you could get a first round pick involved it stands a chance of being high. Neither team is likely to make the playoffs, then with some luck in the lottery, you could have another top 10 pick. I'd retain salary to get that and move him. |

The pick would most likely be lottery protected, I'd much prefer Thomas Harley from Dallas anyway, not sure how realistic that is but one can hope |
