@Vantel.
I assume this is was you were referring to last night
NHLPA has some concerns about the Coyotes temporary home
TSN: Chris Johnston said that NHLPA has some concerns about the Arizona Coyotes temporary home at ASU.
“As if there isn’t enough to talk about between the league and the Players’ Association, another item on their agenda is what happens with hockey-related revenue and who covers potential losses with the Coyotes going to a 5,000 seat arena.
It’s a little early in those talks to forecast where exactly it ends up, but at this point in time the players are worried that they are going to have to foot half the bill if the Coyotes do lower their HRR number and that’s something they’re working through with the NHL |

In 10 years, there should have been twice as many players drafted than the 945 listed. |

Man the Pacific division doesn't have any great teams. Top of the playoff table:
Metropolitan: 1 .700+ team, 2 teams around .680
Atlantic: all 3 teams above .700 !!
Central: 2 teams .700+, one team around .650
Pacific: 1 team .660, 1 team .600, 1 team under .600
- NewYorkNuck
The hockey guy did a video earlier this week about how the parity the NHL strives for is disappearing. When you think back to the year Colorado had that brutal season where they were way behind everyone and wound up with Nate Mack, that team would only be 3rd from the bottom this year.
It used to be that win %s above .700 were extremely rare. |

The gimmick of OT and shootout was introduced, causing the points percentage to be higher now than it was in the past. |

15-6-4 since Dec 6th, that screams 700 hockey to me. Green was 400 hockey, the only reason the Canucks are in this hole. |

There’s some realistic posters here, then there’s the thank you Benning crew. Canucks have some really good pieces, just not the right mix. Like it or not you need sandpaper in your lineup. I’m not sure JR was the right man for the job, the direction of the game may have passed him by. When your 70+ it’s time to step back and really enjoy your life family, etc…..
I guess we’ll see here soon what he has in mind. - K-man25
why? you another neemer that believes older experienced people should be kicked to the curb and ridiculed because...well they are older than you guys... |

Schneider is definitely who is preferable from the Rangers, but I would be happy to accept, Robertson and Cuylle. - Reubenkincade
Umm your opinions don't matter, you are as old as me (or close) just go enjoy your family and let these young whippersnappers show us how it's done.

Ya, but us old guys don't need some analytic spreadsheet to tell us if a player or team is any good. |

If you watched that game last night and thought “Canucks look great, this is a playoff team that can do some damage” you need thicker glasses.

Don't forget, our record is largely thanks to Demko. JR had it right when he said this is at best and average team getting bailed out by a Franchise goalies. Our biggest issue is a need for better PKers and realistically a right handed centre that can PK. |

So, apparently he discounted about half of the players for one reason or another:
“Included here are all skaters drafted between 2004 and 2014 who were drafted in their first year of eligibility outside of the first round that I deem, through my model, as low probability bets (these players, overall, only make the NHL 14% of time).” |

Never stated that anywhere in my post, all teams win games they shouldn't, been that way since the game began, all that matters is the win.
When at the end of the season do the NHL exec go well Canucks had 5 games where they were outplayed and shouldn't have won so let's discount that...oh here are 4 games they dominated the 1st period and the goalies bailed them out the other 2 periods so discount that....here we are 80pts so there no playoffs for them. |
