Have you been to Tempe? Phoenix? Hockey can do well if the arena isn’t 90 minutes away. How would the Canucks do if they played In chilliwack? - CanuckDon
Same problem in Ottawa. Ridiculous that the business owners build rinks away from the population. |

SJ and Ana yes. I have been waiting for LA to slow down a bit but they are getting better. - manvanfan
Lost to the oilers lol, I don’t follow them at all but we’ve closed the gap on them, they are 500 over the last 10 games same as the ducks. |

Zacha for Richardinson rumor floating around out there.
Edit: I think I accidentally reported a post. No idea if I did, or which one. - Retinalz
I don’t buy that at all unless the Canucks are adding something decent |

And there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with that, but does everyone have to be of the same mindset? I have always stated that I like the talent of the team, that's me, all me. This blog is filled with nothing but negative comments on every player on this team, I am just offering a different perspective,
1. that they are winning,
2. that the new coaching has had an impact
3. their winning percentage is hovering around 700 (since the coaching change) which is what everyone seems to want but will not acknowledge the Canucks for.
So back to me, I don't see an issue with pointing out some positives while everyone else has their nickers in a knot. If it is upsetting to some that is unfortunate but oh well...https://youtu.be/RrkVyXFsx6Y - Makita
Ok, I was just pointing out why some people might still be less enthusiastic. |

Garland and Richardson for Sharangovich and Zacha. I'd say that gets it closer but the way Richardson has played this year.
Add in Poolman or Hamonic and ask for a 4th back. Yes, Poolman would shore up a defence that allows the 4th most Goals per game even a little.
Hamilton
Severson
Poolman
on their right side next season. |

It’s looking like it may happen in Calgary. With the new downtown arena being cancelled there are countless rumours of a deal being made to put a new arena out on the Tsu’tina land out in the SW of Calgary. |

OEL on a five game point streak. Maybe he’s finally settling in on the new system. |

Yeah that’s more realistic, JD is a straight up cap dump with negative value. You’d have to pay just to get rid of him. |

What else is out there? Why abandon walk up traffic and good public transit? Makes little sense to me regardless of the cost. |

I would imagine there would be a few teams that would be more that interested in having him. He has been bad in Van but was previously better.
I could certainly see a team like Ottawa taking him for just even someone like Dylan Gambrell.
Buffalo for Anders Bjork. Van getting rid of Richardy for lesser salary with lesser term in a straight up trade.
Maybe ask for a 6th round pick because Richardy has potential to return to previous vs those two players that have never really been very good ever in the NHL.
A bit more experience added to younger forward groups in Ottawa or Buffalo. |

We are what we are. An average team that benefits from great goaltending. He was our all star why is it surprising or insulting?
With Green we were a below average team that benefitted from great goaltending. |

Patrik Allvin on JT Miller - I am not going to trade a player just for the media. JT has been our most consistent and best player.

Allvin on Boeser : He is a really really good player, he is a goal scorer. We will see where it goes with his camp. - manvanfan
What the (frank), Allvin sounds like a JR puppet. Miller would bring a boatload back, should be traded immediately.
Boeser is one dimensional, slow, will cost too much to re-up. Should be trading him for picks.
Petty is useless, will never return to rookie production, only had one good year, lucky to get a B prospect.
Now I feel like one of the gang. |

They’d get around a lot of the costs/taxes/red tape being on reserve land. And there would be casino, hotel etc all there but still way out of the core and no train access out there. |

New blog is up — trying to make sense of last night's odd game, and shouting out Kyle Burroughs and Demko's under-appreciated puck-handling skills.
Plus, the obligatory look at the standings, as we wait for the trade dominoes to start falling.

I would move Miller for a great offer but I don't want to move him just for the sake of it. |
