That is the young portion. I fully expect Coots/Hayes and Cam/Laughton to be part of it. With better coaching, that is a very solid group. As for the coaching ...
- iamscore2day

Majority of those players you mentioned have a long way to go before they are considered core players. Yes young players you hope some become the core in a few years.

Solid group sure. Good enough to get you anywhere? Not a fn chance. Ex selke and Hayes as your 1/2 punch down the middle strikes zero fear in anyone.

My son went to kindergarten with a kid that had to be at least 5'8. He was taller than me!! Granted I'm vertically challenged at 5'7.5 (gotten get that half inch in!).

Damn a 5'8" 5/6 year old. That's a mutant.

Not the greatest analogy. But I get your point. Domi was 215-220 pounds and his head was as hard as a cinder block. Domi was short, but he was also one of the top enforcers in the league at the time.

Gerbe is like 5'4" 170 pounds. I've legitimately have seen 4th graders bigger than him.

- PLindbergh31

170+ lbs on that frame is a (frank)ing bull. Sanheim has 7-8 inches and only 10-20lbs.... Gerbe has power and low center on gravity. really easy to get a tall lanky guy off balance when theyre not prepared.....you guys dont have a (frank)ing clue

Can they trade JVR, hold half and maybe use a 3rd team? Real money is only 5 mil next season

Can Cam be traded? I would not unless it was straight up, like him.

would you trade Lindblom for some speed?

That is the most conservative approach and will allow them to defend another failed selection (if that were to happen) by saying that he had done such and such somewhere else. With all of the youth on this team, I would like to see them hire someone who has shown that he is a good teacher. Sandelin (who was a flyuer) would be good or Carle. If not him, then even someone like Quinn whom the Rags gave up on too soon. For entertainment, I would like Torts though I question whether he would have the patience for a young group. He would be entertaining but is a big presence.

Here is another organizational failure. Is there a single legitimate internal candidate for the Flyers head coaching job. Not only do the Flyers do an awful job developing players. They don't do much to develop coaches.

You know this how? RR may very well test the UFA market. But he said last week that he hadn't spoken with his agent (Andrew Scott).

Better adjust to life as a Sabres fan because that is who we are. As for Coots, I believe in the guy. He will do his best to be back. Same with Hayes. Both are real solid. They may not get there but they are going to do their best.

Gerbe is (frank)ing jacked. Just because the guy is short Sanheim should have been able to take him?

Didn't Tie Domi make a career out of hanging with dudes that towered over him?

I could take Sanheim in a fight

Bobby hired then fired most of our internal talent after naming them as coaches. We could have Lappy ...

Not on his rumored three team list but I feel like G would be a great fit in Washington. Imagine Ovi on PP1 and G on PP2 with Wilson causing havoc in the playoffs to draw penalties.

Not to mention the Lavi reunion.

I don’t know much about the Bruins but early in the year they were looking to find a replacement for Krecji. They’re still using 3C Coyle at 2C. Shouldn’t they be in on Giroux?

That's the point, their best isn't good enough. They are aging with injuries. Complete schitt show. 2 or 3 players away baby

Could you take Nathan Gerbe is the question

Here is a G trade perspective from StLouisgametime.com:
- jd250

Agree...makes no sense for the Blues or Avs to give anything of worth for G...neither team really needs him. Sure he would be a top 9 player but not what either team needs to use their assets on. As far as Wild goes dont see them as realistic contender to trade away young assets. Going to be interesting

We've been hearing Luke Richardson's name for years as an NHL head coach in waiting.

What about Lane Lambert from the Islanders?

170 lb fourth grader?

It’s possible that I was pushing a buck fifty in fifth grade.

They absolutely should...plus their second PP unit is shiite. Giroux could really boost that.

I don't see this happening, especially if you know the Flyers would probably buy JVR out in the off season if they can't trade him. Either way I am confident (or maybe just hopeful) JVR is not on this team next season. He is nothing but a $7M paper weight.

I'd take all the money Plind won on Crosby's 500th and put it on Gerbe ragdolling those mocking him

Meh. If he’s here he’s here. They won’t spend that 7mil wisely even if they clear it.

no need to buy him out on his last year, only if they needed space for a cup run and that is not happening.
