Could you take Nathan Gerbe is the question
(I'm 6-2 185, I'm 100% certain Gerbe would kill me) - Tomahawk
His dad was a concrete worker and if Nate had a bad game his dad would make him run the 4 miles home from the arena in his suit and dress shoes. His dad rarely thought he had a good game.

no need to buy him out on his last year, only if they needed space for a cup run and that is not happening. - wcorvette
I know, I just really don't want to watch this guy play hockey any more, he really Sucks IMO. |

he is not worth the price this season, still a stretch in other seasons but he played well up until this season. JVR will always need the right linemates to succeed. The Flyers don't have 1 line that has the right 3 forwards. JVR was never going to be worth it in this scenario.
I will say they should not buy him out. JVR has actually looked decent with Laughts and TK, if all 3 are still around, leave them as your 3rd line. With Laughts recent success playing up in the line up, I am comfortable with him centering a 3rd line.

maybe CC isn't in on them..... - hello it's me 2050
Could be.Ek never mentions Giroux to Boston so maybe his sources or G himself are telling him there is no interest.

unless CC says it himself I do not believe anything at this time. I think they will keep the teams quiet and between him and flyers.

Well, I guess we have to believe the premise that people tell EK anything |

Farabee, Konecny, Sanheim, IP, Ratcliffe, Frost, York, Zamula, Allison, Attard, N Cates, Tanner L, and Lindblom. I still consider all of them young and good prospects. I would like to add the Sushko but I don't consider that possible with our FO. And the goalies, including Hart. - iamscore2day
I believe Sanheim and Konecny are as good as gone this off season. Unfortunately can't count on Allison to be healthy at all. |

What about them?
How can you consider them core players when they haven't proven they are core players?

Calm down Francis -- it was a joke about the lack of talent on this team at every level |

Yea wouldnt surprise me. Just depends on the return IMO
Lots of potential players on the move.
VAN is looking to move JT Miller and maybe Boeser if they cant get him signed.
ARI is looking to move Chychrun
CBJ could move Laine and Roslovic
BOS has been shopping DeBrusk for a while

Not on his rumored three team list but I feel like G would be a great fit in Washington. Imagine Ovi on PP1 and G on PP2 with Wilson causing havoc in the playoffs to draw penalties.
Not to mention the Lavi reunion. - hereticpride

It does not appear G wants to go to a team in the East. - jd250
Accordingly to? I thought the only tweet referencing his OK on a trade and his list of approved teams was debunked by G and the team. |

Not the greatest analogy. But I get your point. Domi was 215-220 pounds and his head was as hard as a cinder block. Domi was short, but he was also one of the top enforcers in the league at the time.
Gerbe is like 5'4" 170 pounds. I've legitimately have seen 4th graders bigger than him. - PLindbergh31
Why are you equating weight with toughness though? I used to fool around as an amateur boxer in my early days in Philly. Some of the toughest guys were these 140 lb Hispanic dudes who moved lightning fast and had killer punches. |

I'd take all the money Plind won on Crosby's 500th and put it on Gerbe ragdolling those mocking him - THE BLACK HAND
What if Chara mocked him? Since size apparently means nothing when it comes to Mount Gerbe, surely he'd be able to ragdoll a 44 year old dude right? |

I don’t know much about the Bruins but early in the year they were looking to find a replacement for Krecji. They’re still using 3C Coyle at 2C. Shouldn’t they be in on Giroux? - Minnyhock
That kind of team would be my ideal scenario for Giroux. |

I love Lavi and we can basically trace it all the way back to then that this teams biggest problem has always been a lack of talent. He’s also easily a better coach than pretty much anyone we’ve had since.
I’m not sure what happened in the end there though. Didn’t Snider say he ran the worst training camp he ever saw the year he got canned? |
