Eric Staal won a Stanley Cup in 2006.

I'm thinking Kevin Allen is forgetting his journalistic credentials , he did state once Kaprizov was a first overall pick and other lack of researched facts ....

I hear you but that leaves me having to believe that someone whose entire full time job for several decades has been to cover the NHL doesn't know that Eric Staal won a Cup. That's a tough one to swallow. It's a real dilemma.

It's like when Ek said Puljujarvi could still become a 1C...even though he never played the position. Or how he said Pelle Eklund was known as the Swedish Gretzky and won the Calder. He didn't win the Calder and never had that nickname. Remember when Yzerman was the GM of Tampa and Detroit at the same time. That was a mind bender.

No player named Eric Staal has ever won the Cup. You guys are wrong. Sorry. It's called research.

Basically looks like a trade Fletcher would make.

Stall won with Carolina against the Oilers. Everyone but one person knows this apparently. Come on.

Goal Caufield seems to have found his game again and flourishing under Marty as I predicted. Ya love to see it!

Took Brind'amour 7 years as an assistant to just get to the main stage. Marty already on his way to an even better success story.

Marty has had an unforgettable 1 win in 4 games run as head coach. Definitely Hall of Fame trajectory.

It's not about wins right now, it's about implementing systems and getting a feel for your players all while maintaining the best position in the draft lottery. This will be a huge draft for the franchise and it's in Montreal.

Why would the Oilers have interest in an unproven college goalie? Skinner has potential, but clearly they are looking to add a legit NHL starter. So wrong.

Didn't you say Forsberg was getting traded and a bunch of readers said he would remain in Nashville.

Shesterkins numbers are pretty comparable to Kuemper. So maybe MAF to NYR can be a thing?

Marty isn't on his way to being a better coach than Brind'Amour based on 4 games, some changes, and a bunch of optimism. Sure, he might get there, but he has no pro coaching track record. Fans have reason for optimism, however, because of the Gorton hire. He has a track record. He will have several picks within the top 64. Guy knows what he's doing.

Let's just say nobody wins a Stanley Cup until it's verified and confirmed by EK.

He said he's been on the ice during 11 different Cup presentations. But maybe not the Staal one in 2006...

The Flyers already have a BC dman who has more points than Helleson and is a bigger guy, St. Ivany. Not sure we need Helleson.
