Not enough team speed & need the vets to lead the way. The kids are not the problem & the Lammi line is doing just fine.

Not sure they are the answer, either.

Do you know if there will be a video tribute for Tanev and Markstrom on Thursday? Want to set my vcr up to tape it.

They did it last year.

But they’re playing so well thought maybe they’d do it again.

Pettersson played really well last night, kid has 11 points in his last ten games, 8 of those at even strength, and he’s +4. Quinn Hughes on the other hand had a rough night, he was awful. So was Boeser. But that was one game for Hughes, he’s been great for most of the year.

Miller and Horvat played poorly, wtf is wrong with Horvat, trade both him and Miller and start this over again because this team isn’t going anywhere as constructed.

Bo Horvat has zero hits in three of the past five games, he has TWO even strength points in the past sixteen games….that’s just not good enough. If you’re not scoring you’ve gotta contribute in other ways, he’s a passenger! Get rid of him.

I think trading out Miller AND Horvat cripples the team down the middle, unless you're getting a fantastic young C back.

Aside from EP40’s play on the night, it was hard to find any Canucks player who stood out as having a solid game.

Bo Horvat, in particular, has been firmly in milk-carton mode since 2022 started, with just 3 goals and 3 assists in 13 games, which is compounded by the fact he’s actually getting top-level linemates for once in his career.

Pettersson, over that same stretch, has 15 points in 18 games and has managed this playing mostly on the ToV line, a testament to the turnaround in his play.

EP40 has even managed some momentum on faceoff duty, going 65-for-132 since the new year started, putting him at 49 percent, a healthy increase on his normal efficiency.

It certainly would, but that’s the point in trading them, to rebuild with a good draft position and utilize the draft picks you get in return.

Getting a good young center back with a decent draft pick would be best case scenario though, agree there. Quinton Byfield From LA….JT Miller could help them there but I’m not sure they’re interested in that. Anton Lundell from the Panthers would be very nice!

Trade Horvat, keep Miller? The return for Miller would be much much higher right now.

I'd still rather trade Miller – I think his value is more than Horvat's, plus the team window thing. JTM is clearly the better player, and if all things were equal would rather keep him, but they're not...

I just think if you trade JTM and Bo, and go the draft picks route, that's a rebuild. May as well trade Boeser at that point too.

Trade JTM, and in the offseason get Bo a sports psychologist to ramp up the mental side of his game. Maybe he should grow a beard too? That'd probably help.

You’re right, trading Miller makes the most sense, and yes, growing a proper beard definitely increases ones sexy appeal and self confidence

Only if the return is ridiculous. If not next year. Horvat has always been streaky we know this he will bust out but it will be too late. And where the fuck was Schenn when Shattenkirk ran Hogs? Picking his ass on the bench with Bo watching? lol

I'm not sure Miller wants to be here anymore.

Trade Miller. Probably easies the rest of the team knowing that's the player that is going and creating the cap space.

Rutherford put a good man in place for drafting. I'd give him a few to make the prospect pipeline top 5 again.

Good draft, I want picks. Just look at how fast Columbus is going to mass retool..

Ya nah man. The Sedins weren't bruisers, but they much more often than not brought their game and won games for the team. They were mentally on it, and Hank was a good captain IMO.

There's something off with the makeup of the team, the bad starts and the lazy effort are a huge mental component.

Anahiem came out flying and caught us with our pants down and Demko (for once) didn’t play well. The other two periods were pretty close if you go back and look.

I quit watching after the first. I also don't have a lot to say about the game other than for a team that wants to make the playoffs. Team might need a wake up.

Young players > picks in the JTM return. Trade Motte, Chiasson, Halak etc for picks. Get good players from JTM.

Would you rather have Goldobin or Rathbone? Plus, this team doesn't need more young players, they need PKers

I don't think those are the only two options

Would you rather have Motte or Nick Jensen?

This team needs better players, period. Working a trade around JTM for Lafreniere would be a win.

I shut it off and went downstairs to the music after Hogs got cranked and the team stood there and watched. Pussies. Demko is getting tired one can tell tips or not alot of those goals should not have got in. Needs a small rest.

First off NO GM IN HISTORY has ever been as bad as Gillis was.

Second off, when is the last time the 1oa pick was traded a year and a half into his career. Year 4 is when top picks get traded.
