I think we should trade everyone worth anything, especially if they are under 25 and our best young players. Get them out! We shiuld trade Demko to the oilers to completely fck ourselves like we did with Marky and Tanev.

The unfortunate situation with the Canucks is that they keep chasing it instead of building properly.
Keep Demko and start building the team from him out. But Canucks, being Canucks, they keep trading away picks, never drafting enough high end D prospects, spending right to the cap, and not trading expiring contracts for value returns.
Keep spending like a drunk chasing a barfly and drafting small skilled shiny weak forwards, and this is what you get.

Rebuilding needs to have a purpose, which was nonexistent under Benning. Brian Burke built a good roster but lacked goaltending. Gillis drafted like poop but he built a solid roster on top of what was already there.

We need to start over but with purpose. You can’t win when Luke Schenn is one of your top three dmen.

They could share the new 5000 seat arena. If they both played each other it might sellout.

Cody Hodgson, Bo Horvat, Ben Hutton, Kevin Couuntannen, Brendan Gaunce. 6 drafts and that is all that was produced. Canucks might have won if he didn't waste just about every pick for 6 years.

If your team is a black hole of D prospects, and the BPA is a 152 pound winger, you trade down, get more picks, and take a the best D available. If defenseman take longer to develop, you better draft more of them to built a future team.

Like Burke set us up we are set up well here Rutherford knows that or he wouldn't have come here. Just tweaks like a Salo-type RHD and a decent 3LC-$LC. Minor stuff.
