Allvin's comment seems to show the plan is sign him for fair money or they will look to move him.
- boonerbuck

Luke warm comments from the new GM on Boeser earlier today . Not bad comments but not over the top either. High praises for Miller . Boeser is a goal scorer we will see where it goes.

Ya, that's what I got out of this as well.
I don't think we should underestimate this guy, he appears quite sharp.
I like him and I don't usually like Swedes.šŸ˜

Maybe people can stop exclusively naming Rutherford when it comes to what this management group does or may do...

My biggest take away so far was last night when he said Jim is getting the bulk of the calls.

I am sure he is learning the ropes , but until we see the trades and signings it is all talk and speculation for now.

I have to build my pessimism cred.

I think it comes down to what Miller wants. Does he want to stay and sign a fair deal? Then keep him. If he's asking to much or doesn't want to sign.....we move him.

That said, if Colorado or another contender offers something crazy....you take it.

Isn't Byram debating if he wants to continue playing hockey?

A few days back, JR had said he was getting lots of calls and now that Allvin is here, he will be taking most of those calls.

Yeah, thatā€™s a risky player to go after because even if he returns, one more concussion and heā€™s probably calling it a career since heā€™s already on the fence. Huge shame because heā€™s a great talent.

Avs had Timmins go through a bad concussion too and he was never the same afterward

Yeah JR said heā€™s told GMā€™s to call Allvin instead. They were calling JR to ask him who they should be calling for trades.

If I am Byram, I would sit out the remainder of this season, at minimum, then consider the future.
I have always liked Barron and if we are keeping Hughes, then we have the stud right hand defenseman to play with him.

I like Motte, I'd for sure talk to his agent to see what kind of ballpark number he wants before moving him. If he wants JD money then yeah, I think I'd move on. Lockwood can provide the speed, physicality, but not the same PK value, he's also injury prone.

I'd keep the 4th line cheap, but if they believe in Motte as a quality 3rd liner then sure, give him JD money

- Nucker101

Ya, I haven't been following Lockwood at all, as I am not a fan of his,to small for playing a 4th line role. I would much rather see a bigger player take that spot, like maybe a guy who can hit hard and maybe throw a punch every now and then.

He isnā€™t worth his qualifying offer so why would you qualify him? On what planet is Brock worth $7.5MM?
- CanuckDon

Betelgeuse five?

Did Brock Zaphod you at a party or something? Where does this deep seated hate come from?

Toronto trying to shed Ritchie, needs a fresh start, probably wouldnā€™t cost much.

Exactly what you'd say if you wanted to trade Miller and sign Boeser. We have no idea what they're going to do.

If he didnā€™t try and intercept the pass it was a tap in on the far post. He made the right play. Not that anyone would expect you to understand

Ya, what an absolute terrible hockey player, I can't believe his Last 3 coaches in the NHL, have continually played him over 20+ minutes a game.

Canucks thinking of hanging on to Miller?
TSN: Pierre LeBrun reports that the Vancouver Canucks may now be thinking to hold on to forward J.T. Miller, that they feel they donā€™t have to trade him.

ā€œHeā€™s got a year-and-a-half left on his deal and this notion that J.T. Millerā€™s worth is higher now than it would be this summer, the Canucksā€™ front office does not believe that. They feel they can get as much for him in the summer as they can now and by the way, maybe theyā€™ll just sign him this summer, so all options are on the table.

Translation is this, if youā€™re the New York Rangers, or any other team, you have got to step up in a meaningful way to get the Canucksā€™ attention on J.T. Miller, or else theyā€™re happy to keep him.ā€

Heā€™s too tall, Canucks donā€™t have a proper jersey to fit him.
