I think I've finally convinced the wife to let me rent a jackhammer and replace our drain tile this summer. I'm kind of excited. The excitement will probably last one day. Ive got glass block windows, so i have to carry all the cement out of my basement in buckets.

I don't see anyway they don't pick at least one RHD if they keep all their 1st and 2nd round picks as there could be 6 or 7 RHD's drafted in the 1st round alone.

Friday basement flooded. Have to rip out all carpet and tile.

Saturday wake up to no heat.

Today wake up and only have hot water run out quickly while showering.

Thursday night, wife called me at work. 4 inches of water in the basement. Finally got home, figured out that the sump pump failed. Hooked up garden hoses to two submersible pumps, and started them up. Extracted the old pump from the hole (by now there's at least a foot of water down there). Sent her to get a new one and by the time she gets back, I'm installing a new pump in 14 inches of water on the basement floor, plus the two feet of water in the hole. Not easy. Took about 30 hours to pump out. Hot water tank, furnace, washer, dryer, all under water. Everything back up and running yesterday except the hot water tank.

With Peterka and Quinn both being eligible to have their ELC contracts slide, and both having 8 games left before the slide goes away, I doubt either plays more than 7 games the remainder of this season with the Sabres.

I think they're going to bring back players like Ritchie as part of the return in trades, for among many reasons, so they don't need to have players like Peterka and Quinn on the NHL roster the remainder of this season.
