Botterill, Murray, Adams and Bylsma all screwing up Reinhart from day 1 is almost as annoying as Eichel.

The Sabres actually botched having 3 #1 caliber centers and couldn’t even make the playoffs

Adams has done some good since being GM, but that Taylor Hall trade is baaaruuttal.

Downgrading Lazar to Bjork and only getting a late second for the trade deadline prize is just crazy to me still

I know this is basically a lost season, but I think the jury is still very much out on Mittelstadt too. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him have a really good final 15-20 games after he gets in a rhythm

The core of ROR, Eichel, Reinhart, Kane and Lehner goes down as an all time example of a core that didn't work that probably should have. Whether it was culture, bad supporting cast, bad coaching or bad luck, they should have been better than they were.

And they've all been better since they've gone. Eichel TBD but I expect no different

My thought here is that since Hall signed a 1 year deal here, they says they would give him the deadline option of contenders. So if he chooses Boston, kinda ties you up in terms of compensation.

That deal and maybe the Reinhart deals are the worst, but overall he has done a solid solid job for a first time GM.

The baffling part of the Hall deal to me was that he was widely considered the prize of the trade deadline. Adams should’ve stood firm and told him he could either go somewhere else that was offering a first or he could stay. I doubt he would’ve stayed

Next year will be key for that. Either he and the team take a step, or they sell him in July 2023 a la Sam Reinhart after flaming out yet again.

It seems like if they punt next year then they're punting on Dahlin as well. He has 2 more years so maybe they can afford to throw next year on the fire as well. We'll see
