no, but short-term if he's able to play and they don't manage to trade him they'll most likely wait before investing more at the goalie position... in any case though I agree they should be looking to add some goaltending prospects, it's never a bad thing to have, especially since as you were saying Primeau is still a question mark (speaking of, thank goodness for him he's now in Laval where he can develop properly, it took forever before sending him down, poor kid lol).

For sure, Primeau should be given time to develop properly, I think he has the making of a starting goalie, it's just a very difficult position to project

indeed.

I also think he has a very interesting potential, he's playing well with the Rocket, hopefully he'll end up being a legit #1 NHL goalie, but that could take some time.

Right!

While on the G subject, heard Georgiev's name tossed around as a possible target out of New York, not sure the Habs are ready to toss all their eggs in the Primeau basket just yet.... so many names from the Rangers that make sense for the Habs and with the Gorton connection, something is bound to go down!

who has played awful this season and teams are going to be leery because of the term left on his contract. especially at 34. if he was a pending free agent and even had one year left, maybe.

also. he looks cooked. i have watched a few games and he just isn't the same.

i mean i guess there are always dumb GMs out there but i don't think the return will be anything decent. he may be addition by subtraction at this point.

- Gramps28

You try playing with your family in another country and no opportunity to really see them… he’s having a bad season and his personal situation isn’t helping…..seriously doubt Petry is done. Everybody deserves a mulligan.

that's Primeau's nickname?

in any case, whether you think he'll be an NHL starter or not it's just too early to tell. personally though I do think he has the size and skill to be successful, we'll see.

sure, but if you're a GM from another team and you're interested in acquiring his services you'll definitely be trying to grab him for cheap, his individual play has drastically changed for the worse, and I'm not convinced a mulligan could save his current value.

sure, you could consider trading him as mainly getting rid of a bad contract and trade him for a bag of pucks to the 1st team that inquires for him, but in reality that is far from an ideal situation for the habs since that would mean they were unable to "cash in" on what was Petry's worth before his big drop this season.

but hey, maybe I got it all wrong and as some are saying in here GMs won't be taking the current season into consideration all that much, and the habs will manage to get a decent return for him. go Kent, you can do it!!

Also, prior to the Olympics the Montreal Canadiens reached out to Marie-Philip Poulin’ reps at Momentum Hockey to see what she wanted to do after the games. No official job offer was made and it looks like Poulin wants to keep playing. One more Olympics? Maybe.

Montreal remains interested and when she’s ready to have a conversation they are interested in seeing if there’s a fit with the organization. Key here is ‘when she’s ready’.

probably L8 yes, but I wasn't aware so thanks for the update lol... but yeah, if she's still playing and is considering going to the next olympics my guess is she won't be ready to take a job with the habs any time soon, unless it's for some sort of ambassador role that doesn't require putting a lot of time into it. there's no rush anyway.
