And yet, he is most certainly a trash person. |

Admit that you were not once entertained by his antics.

If I had to equate him to a current player it would obviously be The Rat. Great at getting under the other team's skin and drawing retaliation penalties. Did he cross the line? Sure.
The most "egregious" play against Uncle Daddy resulting in the Avery Rule should have just been Unsportsmanlike. The crap he said in Dallas was also douchey, as well as the Sloppy Seconds comment to Phaneuf. As a player he was fun to watch, hell, he even played a game with a lacerated spleen, so he's tough. If he had just shut his mouth and played tough there would be no issue. Kinda like Voldemort.
I'm not defending Avery at all, just my opinion of his play. |

Avery also had legit skill. I regard him similarly to how Rick does but he wasn't a liability skillwise. Another player that just needed to shut his mouth. |

Should have mentioned that he could actually play. It was his being unhinged that drove him out of the NHL. Unfortunately he's one of those obstinate guys that can't get out of his own way. Someday he'll choke to death on his foot.

Not once. I hated the classless punk before he came to NY and never once liked or cheered for anything he did that was outside the rules of the game. Including his "contraversial" screening of Brodeur. |

I'll agree there, he often took it too far. I think the only time he apologized was about Elisha Cuthbert who should never have been involved with him.
Admittedly I found the Avery Incident amusing when it happened. Stupid, but amusing.
Oh, and I'm going to tell your wife that you spelled controversial wrong when I see her later. |

Id take Jagr back for a playoff run. Guaranteed better than fkn Gauthier at 50 years old. May not have the speed but his puck control was not to be fkd with, good luck stripping him. |

He’s a legitimate sociopath. That video says it all. Dudes got nothing going on behind the eyes that remotely resembles emotional intelligence |
