Goodrow needs to be on the 3rd line. I get your point. But they got bigger fish to fry - Slimtj100
Btw, I think that 4th line we have was at its absolute best when Goodrow was on it. However I think its time to move on from Rooney and let Barron play some consistent minutes. Because going back to that Nick Paul idea, I think Barron has every bit the same and better skills and can be better than Paul. |

Not sure why you dislike Rooney now lol. He is what he is. They seem to love the guy. Barron seems as though next year he’ll maybe be a regular. Not happening this year
And in a perfect world I think they’d prefer goodrow on the 3rd line |

Pagnotta links Domi to the rangers…who hasn’t been terrible this year. 24 pts in 39 games - Slimtj100
Domi is a guy I’ve wanted for a while. He could be the 3C we’ve been looking for. Plays the game with an edge. Maybe CBJ would be looking to get a higher skill player on a cheaper contract like Kravtsov or Chytil+ |

Speaking of 4th line players. Mason Geertsen has 55 PIM in 16 games. and only 15 min are fights |

I dont really dislike him, hard to dislike the guy. But I think its time to move on from a 30yo guy when theres a stud in the pipeline. However Id be all for having him as our depth forward over all the other guys we got.
Goodrow, Copp and a defensively responsible, somewhat physical but has offensive chops RW would be ideal. |

I bet some of the other 40 are misconducts at the end of games. |

10 hits in 39 games. FO% is decent but the last thing I want is another 3C who wont play defense and avoids contact. |

That’s actually very surprising to me. I remember watching him earlier in his career and he loved the hitting/contact. |

I read recently that debrincat could potentially be available. Along the lines of JT Miller trade, but perhaps easier to get. Hawks are going nowhere fast no reason to keep him |

Yea that’s why I said JT Miller kind of situation. He’s basically a yr and half Ranger. BUT thats a potent scorer to add |

the difference is JT is cheaper and will be 30 when his contract is up and Debrincat will be in the middle of his prime. We will have to basically lose him for nothing, and he's a borderline elite goal scorer |

Debrincat is more of a sniper which I think we need. Miller is more of a set up guy. If you compare those two.
Debrincat would get 40 easy next season here imo |

I think in a trade like this we have to consider trading Kakko the other way. |

Where did you see that? He is at $6.4 mil for this year and next. RFA with arb rights after that, so 7.5-8 mil is likely if he stay hot. Unsure how they fit him in and why Chicago would move him. Return would need to be enormous for them |

I just looked... his qualifying offer is 9m. |
