Isn’t it a little early to call St. Louis a success after 6 games? Seems a bit premature, no?

here's how it will unfold

Montreal will play at a 105-point pace from here on out. they will crater out of a top-5 draft spot. Marty St. Louis, after finishing runner-up for the Jack Adams, turns down a 5-year offer from Montreal to replace Jon Cooper in Tampa, who steps down out of sheer boredom after Tampa's 3rd straight Cup.

That depends what you're calling.

Can we call the hiring of St-Louis and the place it will hold in history a success after 6 games?

No.

Can we call what we've seen from the Habs and the notable improvements in our players's spirits in the 6 games St-Louis has coached a success?

I believe we can.

the problem with MSL won't appear this year, not even next year. any new coach would have bring a spark. we see that all the time, it lasts a few weeks, a few months... he's certainly very good to teach kids and have a positive influence on Caufield. for the next 2-3 years Habs will lose more often than not, so who cares who's the coach.
but when they will begin to compete, when they'll need him to outcoach the opponent... that's when Habs will have a disadvantage. yes he will have learned on the job for a few years, but will that be enough when facing career coaches who have been doing it for decades?
so far so good. very good.

Time will tell, but you're right, maybe he's the coach they need right now but not the one they'll need down the line.

And that's absolutely fine.

Ok. I'm unleashing the beast, i'm picking someone randomly and think of the worst thing i can complain about him.

Hey Pat, stop female doging about everyone being peaky, rigid in their opinion and dishonest in the way they interpret your posts and start being an ass like everybody else!

Am I doing it right?
