But he's a god on the Jackets. Why would they trade him unless they get blown away? They do need people to actually suit up. - AdamFrench
But LA traded Muzzin and they were in the same state of being a poop team with a few nice pieces.
Dermott could slot into his spot, he'll do worse but they are re building anyways. |

Since when do the other team has a say in these made up trade scenarios?

He said apparently people close are saying too many concussions too close to each other. Could be career.
But I agree. Seems way too soon for news to be out. - GreatGigInTheSky
I understand that there will be people with that opinion. A fair one tbh.
However there’s no way the leafs have announced this yet.
He still skated off the ice himself this time which puts the question mark beside the possibility of spending the rest of the season on the LTIR in my eyes. |

Yeah, he's definitely an under the radar guy. Maybe Werenski gets all of the glory?
Gav has an absolutely bonkers 75.4 dZS% and has still put up 22pts in 47 games (0 on the PP, obviously).
And he's damn cheap. - mjones242
Thats what I am saying...His numbers are pretty damn great.
I think Dubas will be aggressive here. |

3 concussions so close together could be really bad.
If he has a concussion I would assume they take him out much longer than his recovery phase. - Santo_44
The tricky part is that TBL and Vegas could/can count on Kuch and Stone coming back. That’s a much bigger question mark for ole Muffin, especially the idea that he could come back and be effective.

Both Friedman and Dreger seemed to be musing about going full TBL - Canada Cup
I honestly don’t see why not. Let the guy try and heal. It’s not a broken wrist where you have 6-8 week timeline. Probably better for both parties if he takes his time coming back.
At the end of the day its better to error on the side of caution when it comes to brain injuries even if it means he’s out the rest of the year. |

I don't think this will be an under the table thing if he has a concussion.
IF Muzzin has another one, might just be in everyones best interest to shut him down and re evaluate come playoff time..Meaning I think they should prepare for him not to be in playoffs and act as a bonus if he can/wants to play. |

Is it official now? I was supposed to renew in January (got a letter about them opening back up and starting again). But then I had heard Ford's promise so I held off.
I can now drive free of conern?!

But in all seriousness, and human empathy aside...I don't think this would be a good thing for the Leafs even if it worked out as a kucherov situation.
33, having an injured back issue before the concussions, then the concussions? I don't think he comes back a spring chicken like a 27 year old top 5 forward in the NHL. |

I am thinking it could be season+playoffs and reevaluate next season to see if he wants to keep playing.
Concussions are no joke, if he came back and got another one this season...could be really bad. - Santo_44
It would make complete sense. Like, what happened yesterday didn't even seem all that bad. Not good, for sure, but not as bad as some of the hits you see. Seems like concussions are taking a legit toll on Muzzin. So unfortunate for him. |

2 back to back could be pretty brutal for him.
It sucks and we don't know what will happen but I definitively feel for the guy regardless. |

He did, which is good, but the hit itself was also not all that much. Which leads to more questions about the state he's in.
He might be prone to concussions more and more. Something for him to think about, for sure. |

Agreed. Especially if Muzzin is out long term/forever.
No clue what the target will be but I think it'll be bigger than what it would've been. |

I think a lot of this will be on Muzzin as well.
It is his life and his brain, I am sure he would be in that decision to shut himself down for the season if it were to happen. |

I knew to one side of his head and then it landed directly onto the ice…. The head took a couple good shots.
My primary concern is why did it take that long to stand up? Was he having trouble seeing straight? That’s what I’m wondering. |
