Leafs haven't had a player like Lyubushkin in a long while.

People are trying to make Bogosian and Polak companions but its far off I think. The athletic broke down his play with video.

He is not great as a neutral zone defender, where he excels is his one on one battles. He breaks the cycle and looks like he also is decent at pinching on his own blue line to break up zone entries.

I'd like to see him with Sandin, he could help balance out his poor puck moving.

Lol he won’t know the team plays well enough… him on the bottom pairing actually makes sense. Liljegren knows that specific defensive role….. right now anyways lol
