We will still do well with trades and acquiring picks and prospects if we do climb in the standings. Gorton has been know to use multiple picks as currency to move up in the draft.
We can still draft well.......but that being said, it would still be better (for this year and next) to finish near the bottom for obvious reasons. - Snots33_77
Well with the amount of picks we own, using some to move up makes sense.
As long as it's not to draft the next Tinordi.
Thank god Timmins ain't here anymore.

I feel you, but there's nothing we can do about it.
Players will do their best, if that implies climbing the standings, so be it.
Would I rather them stay in the bottom 2? Absolutely.
But I'm having a rough time cheering for losses. Even if my brain knows it would be better in the long run.
- Scabeh
Absolutely, I'm watching games and I'm hoping for another goal. Wishing them to lose these past months was leaving me dead inside. It's not fun. |

My opinion only but...A Russian player who supports the Russian leader shouldn't be a topic that he's confronted with by sports journalists. He's not a politician and is essentially a private citizen so any questions to a hockey player about international politics would just show sports journalism for the oxymoron it is |

Looks at Russia, the international limp wristed response, everything that recently happened and is happening with truckers, Covid, inflation, interest rates, real estate prices and it's impact on the living situations of the poor and elderly, increased food scarcity and those locally who are now food poor, and my own stock portfolio and it's fluxuations since January alone:

The Advisor to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry has said that the Russian armed forces have entered the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant area and clashes have broken out leading to the destruction of a nuclear waste storage facility. More details are awaited. |

Sports are a great escape from the day to day BS...this goes way beyond that...
But I'd be lying if I said I haven't enjoyed the last few games infinitely more than the preceding 45 games or so |

Well we pretty much need to forget about all the garbage in the world otherwise we'd all be depressed forever.
And I stopped watching the games at some point, started again since St-Louis was hired and it's been, at the very least, very entertaining.

I'm a bit masochistic with sports for whatever reason and I've watched 90%+ of the games. Seeing any life from the corpses that were trudging around under DD has made it a lot easier |

I've never had Vermont Maple Syrup but is it really invasion worthy levels of worse than Québec's?
Not being last isn't a bad thing but also isn't a good thing, the lottery complicates it a bunch anyway...so it's a thing for now I guess |

it's more a thing about quantity. I think we produce like 75-80% of the world production. |
