That would mean 5.25 million of dead cap space for the next 4 years. No way they do that. He will likely be LTIR until contract is over . - TurdFergeson
yep, but that's the only way they could get a decent return. |

the guy has him 1st on his list, Wright comes in at #3 - fidopro
Maybe would not be a bad thing not to pick 1st…
It Wright goes first, he would not ba available… so you pick another and nobody can complain…
If he is still there, you take him and say that you could not pass on him…
Picking first when Mario Lemieux or Crosby is ranked 1st, it is easy…. When there is no clear top 1, this opens the door for so many complains and 2nd guessing… |

People who fear picking first overall are cowards. |

No, they won't be doing that.... there's limits on retention, both in contracts and cash, 50% of Price's contract would handcuff management too much |

Agreed on both... two of the many reasons why Price isn't going anywhere for awhile!
He's an after thought right now, on the very back burner, so many other issues to deal with before we get there |

tks Karine, what return? what do you think Habs would get for an overpaid over the hill always injured goalie?
perso I don't give a poop if he retires or not.
if he gets healthy and plays a few more years for Mtl, good. Primeau will have time to develop in Laval and Price will be a leader for this young team.
if he retires Habs will save money on the cap, they're not winning anything any time soon anyway. with or without Price. - fidopro
From what I've seen from both goalies, I think Dobes will have a better career than Primeau. |
