Your memory is no better than mine!! Pretty sure you said the same thing when I mentioned ringette here a few years back. I had no idea at that time that it isn't known in the states.
The biggest difference from hockey, aside from the ring and sticks, is that the ring MUST be passed across the blue lines. So, you can't have one player just go end to end.

And, I converted the litres to gallons for you already!! Have to draw the line somewhere.

Some of the video clips on reddit's /r/CombatFootage are insane. Russian helo's popping flares and just barely dodging MANPADS missiles, a Russian jet launching a missile or a rocket into what appears to be a home...it's (frank)ing wild, it's like a video game

the thing about superhero movies like the Avengers is that all these bad guys like thanos usually understand the problem but have the worst, most evil solution. "too many people are living in abject poverty and squalor and aren't getting the resources they need? kill half the population." then the avengers swoop in and kill the bad guy and everyone is like "yay avengers" but then no one ever addresses the fact that people are still suffering. still, i give the franchise 8/10

I'm sure I could find some entertainment from it but I am just not that into superhero movies. I enjoyed Deadpool and the original X-Men movies but that's about it. Transformers was so (frank)ing lame that it turned me off of the whole genre (if that even makes sense).

In their universe Eternals (a truly mediocre movie) they actually sort of reinforce this. Why don't the Avengers ever try to stop the Eternals?
