A lot will come down to the end of the year as well (if they're still in position) when they play the Stars 2x, Knights 3x, Sharks, Wild, Kings, Oilers. A lot of those teams are teams they are around/need to leap over, so those are way more important 2 points (4 points) than against the Sens.

Plus, if these other teams stopped going to OT, I'm sure that would help their cause
