These are athletes in their 20's & 30's, most have been in North America since 18, some younger, a large chunk legitimately don't care about politics. Proud Russians? Sure... Showing respect to their President? I get it... but being punished, stripped of their legally binding contracts and deported because they apparently stand behind an invasion they obviously have no hand in? Can't sign off on that.... the players would sue the NHL, no doubt and rightfully so!

It's not that we agree with those several players who practically backed Putin. It's just that the principle of preventing an immigrant from working because of his opinion, it's not something you can do. If they economically back russia in their expansion, then you freeze their earnings, but this is a completely different situation.

Before pursuing russian civilians and immigrants, I think UE, Can and USA could think about sending troops in Kyiv, even if its à very delicate decision.

I'm not a huge fan of the US mentality but every tool box needs a good hammer, the US is the biggest, baddest hammer on the market, not sure even Putin likes his odds here, especially this early in his attempt to reunite the Soviet Union, meaning he will eventually step foot on NATO grounds which will trigger WWIII regardless. And who knows what Xi is up to, Taiwan? Start taking all the non NATO countries and keep getting stronger with the threat of Nuclear attacks? Does that sound like a good idea? Maybe they should snuff this out nice and early.... they said never again after the Holocaust, regardless of affiliation

imo he'll take Belarus before NATO countries. but yeah, if he does, it will be the end of it. you will be right and will not end from the inside. eitherway, he's crazy. and that's the thing with crazy people, you never know how far they will go.
